Hey all. Thanks for asking. Dee!
Its was ups and downs for me considering smoking and etc.
I was tempted to try not smoke at the holidays, but I think after is a better time.
Vapes now make it so much more easy to smoke it everywhere withour people noticing which is good and bad u know what I mean.
I had some clean time in the summer but not enough.
Wish you good!

Good to hear from you Teo
I don’t think there’s ever a good time to quit. I’d say ‘I’ll quit after the holidays’ and most times I was still smoking in March so it was like ‘hey I’ll quit at Easter ….’…
It’s always going to be hard to quit, but the longer we smoke the harder it gets, man.

Thanks! The decision is made, now I need to focus on making it stick. Based on previous attempts I know there is mucho difficulty along the road and I need to deal with that differently than I have previously have.
Hope you peeps are doing well!

Well, day 1 is safely under the belt and I am over halfway on day 2. I don’t try to think about it all the time, but that’s easier said than done.
I had a good evening yesterday, was a tiny bit restless but nothing more. Slept like there was no tomorrow and I plan on doing the same thing tonight. Sober sleep is one of the delights of a sober life for me. I feel blessed in that area because I know sleeping problems right after quitting is a big issue for most people.
I sincerely hope everything is allright with you marijuana-quitters, or anyone that happens to read this

Doing pretty good. Off it for over 3 months, longest I’ve been off it in over 5 years. Feeling a lot better too. More energy and motivation. I’m lucky in that I would have to go out of my way to find someone to get weed from, but I have no real inclination to do it anyway. Think the fact that I’m no longer kidding myself that I could be an occasional smoker has been the big difference. I know now that I’ll either be off it, or using every day, and I honestly prefer being off it.
Wow, that’s inspirational. Thanks for posting that. I am on day 3 and although I am managing pretty well, I am nowhere near the point that I prefer not to smoke over smoking. The thought of “never again” is quite frightening at this stage. Had a couple of nagging thoughts today, caught myself daydreaming about smoking again a couple of times. I need to stay away from that.
I hope things stay the same for you or get even better. If you start doubting your own decision to quit, please let us know. We’ll talk some sense into you

That’s great Ronantian
FDM it took me a relatively short time to get over the physical things like insomnia, but longer to get to a point where I didn’t want to smoke.
I think the psychological dependency is the thing most of us struggle with.
I kept to my commitment tho and, after a while of not smoking, I could see my smoking was neither as benign or beneficial as I kidded myself it was.
It was like being hypnotised and suddenly waking up.
Stick with it man
