Thank You God Part 30
Solve the problem, or leave the the problem,
but don't live with the problem.
A brisk, cold start of the morning to a cooler afternoon
as I fished out pollen from the skimmer and took the
vacuum around the yard for fallen leaves after a front
came thru bringing wind and rain last night.
Thank You God for blessing us with many gifts in
sobriety and life. Having a recovery program as a
guideline helps me stay the course and continue
to be teachable on lessons I am still learning along
this journey. Amen.

Thank you God for being gentle and forgiving towards me when my focus is not on you and your Word, when I am too easily distracted and my mind is overwhelmed and my head filled with things that are not of importance to You.
In prayer I continue to ask that You protect and
give strength and recovery to my husband who
has taken on a flooring job for us. Replacing old
carpet from days gone by, pets and footwear to
a pretty white/gray laminated flooring.
It's a knee and back tension job and hope and
pray that with him taking time out to rest and a
slow pace, that it won't cause any major pains
down the road.
Spring is near as I continue to keep daily maintenance
on our backyard and garden of paradise while hubby is
working on the inside. Between the 2 of us, no one else
is gonna take care of our needs but God and ourselves
guiding and blessing us along the way.
Stay sober. Make Amends. Show up for others whether
it be outside or here in SR. Have courage. Be selfless.
Pray. Remain grateful. Love yourself. Love others. Face
your fears. Amen.

sharon, prayers for your bodies as you and your husband work on home projects, they sure take a toll on us as we age but the upkeep on our investment is so necessary.
Thank you God for such a wonderful experience at work yesterday, the kindness of the Korean baseball team, the satisfaction I feel after being around so many friendly and thankful people.

Thank you God for everything that sparks our imagination and creativity. Music, hobbies, reading, anything to engage our minds in ways that are healthy and keep our spirits burning.

Thank you God for this life "beyond my wildest dreams and expectations", and for the mountaintops, but also the dark valleys where I can be of service and take what I've learned to others.

Thank you God for the patience to weed through 100's of work emails, the anxiety these devices bring to our lives are not of Your work, but I believe you want us to overcome them and focus on the joy found in You.

Thank you God for the time I had to engage in one of my latest hobbies yesterday, something that brings even more joy to my life (is that even possible? ) and thank You for delivering me and my wife through weather events in different parts of the country.
Thank You God for all the things You do that I
never see....helping me get thru each day safely,
making sure my family is protected and Your many
other countless blessings. Amen.
Spring is in the air and I'm loving it.
As I sat quietly on a bench under one of my
many red umbrella's sipping on a cup of coffee
after lunch, there in front of me was a cute little
bumble bee hovering over and about making me
wonder why was he or she doing that.
So I came inside to google for some info and sure
enough the answer was....the male will hover over
marking his territory while waiting for a female to
approach so they could mate.
Now that is a sure sign of Spring. Right?
It was also nice to have my little buddy, Forester,
aka Lucky, the name of my own cat who passed
a few years back, near by sleeping soundly on
another chair keeping me company while I poured
some drainage rocks in and around some flower beds
for extra dressing up.
The drainage rocks are silver in color which is
a cooler color to cover over black weed fabric.
Of course there are other bags of colored rocks
that I also use, so not everything looks the same.

Ahhhh I always feel peaceful when you describe your garden and everything in it, sharon. Thank you for sharing the information about the bees, they love the water feature on our pool and soon we will have plenty of them in our backyard. We're going to try a pie plate filled with marbles and water so they have a safe place to drink from.
Lord, when my head is in turmoil from being treated poorly by one of my children, I thank You for loving and calming me, I am no longer the active alcoholic that lashes out in retaliation.

Thank you God for unexpected changes in plans, although I'm disappointed our weekend reservation was cancelled due to weather issues, my wife is exhausted from her business trip and our rest is much more important. There will be other times for snowshoeing and snow play.
Walk with God when your heart needs company.
Turn to God when you need someone to lean on.
Take God's hand when you feel lost and alone.
When know one can be there, remember God is
always there. You are never alone..!
I'm sorry that your plans had to change Astro,
and yes there will be more opportunities down
the road to take those special trips.
In the meantime, here is a snowball fight to enjoy
and some hot cocoa.

Heh heh, thanks for the snowball fight, sharon!
I'm planning on taking a run up north on Weds. after work and doing a quick hike with the snowshoes, we've got another storm passing through today so there should be plenty of snow.
Thank you God for also canceling my plans to work my secondary job yesterday, it was so nice to engage in my hobbies, get some light chores done, and spend time with the beautiful bride that you chose for me to spend the rest of my life with.
