I feel guilty now cause when I listed my heroes, I forgot Einstein. It should be Gandhi, MLK, Thoreau, Mr Rogers, and Einstein. I didn't know he played violin. Several years ago I got to go to a concert given by local medical professionals. My doctor played a duet with his daughter of the Bach double violin concerto. It was lovely.

I grew up with violin. My dad played and we heard it often. Classical and Jazz were my dad's favorite kinds of music.

Grateful for my musical upbringing.

He must have been a good musician. A lot of musicians, in my studies and career in music, go with either jazz or classical, but to know both is quite impressive. I leaned much more toward classical, in between studying what I was performing with my band. It was a fun time. I loved playing in a band. I wish some of the guys playing for me were a bit more mature, but you can't have everything!

My favorite picture of my dad was when I was little. He was holding his violin and bow and our kitten was sitting on his shoulder. I still have that picture.

So grateful to be sober. The consistent high functioning, well-being and motivation. Feeling happy and well rested in the morning and content and tired in the evening. Thank you for quitting!

Grateful to be watching the Pro Bowl. It's kind of fun, except the news Kobe Bryant has died in a copter crash. Best to family and friends.
Grateful for all my blessings.
Just grateful to be grateful, esp for the wonderful who frequent this thread.
Love and peace to all tonight.

I've never thought about it like that Aly ( colts and children), but now you've mentioned it I understand what you mean. x

Oops Astro, I'm sure you can sort a few weeds out.

Least/Aly my g.son is learning to play the violin at school and he's enjoying it. I only found out recently that Einstein played violin. Research shows that playing the violin positively affects the brains capacity for memory.

Grateful for a sober Sunday night.
Grateful to have family visit.
Grateful for the sound of silence when they all went home, lol.
Grateful to see my daughter today.
Grateful for a phone call from my son saying he has bought a washing machine, wonders will never cease and he was civil too. Still keeping my defences up all the same.
Grateful my g.son accepted that he would not be playing the dreaded 'Fortnite' this evening.
Grateful for a bubbly bath.
Grateful for comfy p.j's.
Grateful for fresh bedding on my bed.
Grateful to get my laundry dry.
Grateful to have made the packed lunches for tomorrow and to have laid school uniform out.
Grateful for a good cup of tea.
Grateful Least had a musical upbringing, I think that's wonderful.
Grateful to learn that Aly played in a band, you're so full of surprises Aly ( good ones)
Grateful to read Austerities post.
Grateful I found this thread and the wonderful, supportive people who use it.
Grateful for each and every one of you. xx

Posting early.
Grateful I have a class at ARF tonight at 5:30 about short term foster, like you can take them out for a few hours, a day. They call it Doggie's Day Out. I think it's a great idea to let them out of their rooms, esp if there are people willing to take them out and about or into a home atmosphere.
Grateful for the creative names they come up with for the animals at ARF. They are starting to name some of the newer ones after the 49ers in the Superbowl. The first one I've seen is Kittle. So cute. They were naming them after Rock Stars for a while.
Grateful so much for all of you. I wish this terrible fatigue would go away. It seems to be the last part of this bug. Even getting up and ready for the meeting feels so hard right now, but I will go as I was lucky to get the spot. I'm thinking of maybe doing some mobile adoption work with a woman I really like. I have to take some classes for that too which don't come up too often.
I digress. Love to you all, and peace. Have a wonderful evening.

Grateful to be catching up here as I missed a couple nights
Astro, the HOA’s can be such sticklers!
Daisy, good to see you. Glad you are setting limits on the tech stuff. I’ve been lucky lately because sonny boy is super into Legos again. Plus, when I check his YouTube searches, it’s usually math related or educational in some way
Least, yes I guess you are an older mom like me Love the visual of you and your Dad.
Aly, I didn’t know Einstein played violin. So cool. I think it’s great you may look into mobile adoptions. It would be easier for you when you can’t do a physical shift and you’d still be helping
Good to see you, Auster
Grateful for a beautiful day. Spring is coming!
Grateful Mr F made a nice dinner and we all ate together
Grateful to spend time tonight on a Shutterfly album. Almost done
Grateful for a hot bath and quiet time
Grateful to be going to bed early tonight
Prayers for Kobe Bryant’s family and the other families who lost in the helicopter crash
Grateful for each one of you 😊

Grateful for the volunteer work Aly does with the canines, the best part of my night and morning is when Missy wants to jump up on our bed.

Grateful for the songs I'm learning to play on guitar. Here you all are talking about violin and I'm all proud of myself for learning Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes I'm grateful my granddaughter is learning violin, there are times I wish I never gave up the cello. Grateful for musical creativity.

Grateful to have had lunch with Fearless today! Grateful she is everything I thought and more. A beautiful blond who is tall and wonderfully slim (beautiful inside and out). I had so much fun meeting and talking, I think we were there over 2 hours. Thank you Fearless. You are an amazing person!
Grateful for all of you. I'm sure I wouldn't be sober without you and this thread. Gratitude has helped me look at things differently. Practicing gratitude has been so, so good for me.
Love and peace to all. ♥♥♥
