Yes Astro, Jodrill Bank is where they have the telescopes, it's an Observatory that has several radio telescopes primarily used for investigating radio waves from the planets and stars, including the Lovell telescope, which is the 3rd largest dish telescope in the world. I'm going to post a couple of pic. There you go, I've blinded you all with science now, I'm such an anorak. xx

Grateful to be going to bed sober.
Grateful that today ( it's almost half past midnight) I have 22 months sober.
Grateful that I quite like the sober me.
Grateful for the opportunity to go on the school trip to see the telescopes.
Grateful to learn something new every day.
Grateful the weather was kind to us today, cold but dry and sunny.
Grateful to see Sunpengwn posting here. I do remember you from when you were expenguin. I'm so sorry that you've had cancer twice but so grateful that you are in remission Here is a great place to start. Take care xxxx
Grateful for warm clothes and food in my cupboards.
Grateful to be here with you all.
Grateful for each and every one of you. xxx

grateful that I didn’t spend the entire day trying to disengage from everyone and everything and feeling frustrated that I can’t.

grateful for the Northern California sunlight, especially in the late afternoon.

grateful that I didn’t think of killing myself or wish that I hadn’t woken up in the morning.

grateful that I am not fearful of tomorrow’s sunrise.

“But by the grace of God.”

Daisy, congrats on 22 months! Amateur astronomy is one of my many hobbies, I've seen pics and read articles about Jodrill in Sky & Telescope magazine. That sounds like a great trip!

penguin, I'm very happy to see you here and to know that your cancer is in remission. Birkie, welcome back!

Grateful that this day will start by having breakfast with a great friend.

Grateful to get my hair blow dried by my friend's daughter who is training to be a hairdresser and needs people to practice on, I volunteered and she has done my hair really well for a very small payment.

Grateful Birkie has joined us, 1 day is a good place to start, keep going. xx
