Morning Gratitude ~ Part 87
Grateful for a chipmunk sighting - a sure sign of spring.
Grateful for all the love & kindness in the world - it does exist.
Grateful for sugar-free coffee creamer.
Grateful for our little grat family.

After so many years of doing what was easy, rather than what felt &/or was right, grateful & relieved for the gift of being able to listen to my own intuition. Doesn't mean I always get it right, of course, life doesn't work like that, but I feel fully responsible & accountable for my own decisions & choices.

Grateful we made it home safely and have until Saturday kid-free! For me this usually just means working more and doing household projects but the sheer joy of being responsible only for getting myself to bed and out of it is intoxicating (if you’ll pardon the word choice).
Grateful to have made progress on the appeal of my son’s transfer into a better middle school.
Grateful for a pretty good night’s sleep in spite of a LOT of iced coffee.
Grateful to be up in time to get a workout in before I have to get down to the capitol.
Grateful we just passed the halfway point in our legislative session.
Grateful for the insights of those in long term sobriety and those just starting out.
Grateful to see cats again and for the silly little one trying to play with my head while we face timed our kids last night.
Grateful to be sober and to be here.

I'm running late today lovelies, I'm at my daughter's new house waiting for a delivery that's very late. I'm posting from my mobile phone as she has no Internet until tomorrow.
Grateful for another sober day.
Grateful the school run went well.
Grateful to help my daughter.
Grateful to have a book to read.
Grateful for my mobile phone.
Grateful to be here with you all. Xx

Grateful to be of sound mind.
Grateful for no longer feeling that I'll never have fun again.
Grateful for the determination to start some spring cleaning. Dread the deep cleaning of the neglected kitchen.
Grateful to see you all here, doing your best to be strong & optimistic. So proud of you.

Grateful to finally check in this morning
Grateful for all those advocating for the best education for their children
Grateful to hear my son’s karate instructor say (in front of him) that seeing him change so much in a positive direction has been one of the great rewards of teaching karate
Grateful to receive a similar comment from my son’s teacher about how much he has matured, and for commending him for initiating an honest discussion about something important to him.
Grateful to be overwhelmed with positive emotions thinking about how much life has improved, to remember the years we called “the dark ages”, thinking even about the possibility of needing to institutionalize our son back then. There was a time I didn’t even care about living anymore
Grateful to ground myself once again, to remind myself to stay neutral, practice a bit of non attachment, to remember that these good feelings will also pass just as the bad ones do, to embrace changes. Grateful for one day at a time, to be able to stay present and handle things as they come up
Grateful for the music from GOT final episode of season 6, Light of the Seven. I probably won’t meditate to it because of the reminder of the dark scene. But it is beautiful background music as part of my classical genre playlist.
So grateful for my sobriety and all of you here. Xo
