Glad I figgered that out pretty quickly

Grateful Least and LaF's breakdowns were the car variety... Hope the van and the jeep get resuscitated quickly and cheaply.

Hope the snow doesn't cause too much trouble MCB.

Welcome Nik! So glad you are here with us

I've been planning to buy an emergency jump-starter, just waiting for it to go on sale. My car battery died this past Sunday, so I had to use the money I had set aside for the jump-starter to buy a new battery. Karma, I guess

Grateful for transportation options!

Grateful for a warm bed with nice clean sheets and my New Blankie! Grateful for my furry furnaces who warm it up for me all night long. Grateful that I have no plans for NYE and am perfectly happy to stay home by myself with the dogs. Grateful that the wonderful pizza place just down the street will be open for NYE. Grateful that I can walk to the store tomorrow to get a few things... or ask my brother to take me if I feel lazy.

Last but not least... grateful that I won't wake up feeling horrible on New Year's Day!

Glad you have a new blankie, least!! I'm grateful for my bed too, and for being able to oversleep today. Even though I felt guilty about getting up late, I didn't stay in bed because I had a hangover. Yea!

Grateful that my children and a couple friends are enjoying themselves in the living room while I camp out with SR and watch TV at the same time. I'm looking forward to a similar, contented evening tomorrow. See ya then!

I am greatful for humility. I have been praying for it for weeks. Tonight God showed it to me. I am very greatful to Him for it.

My night or day did not start with humilty however before my day was over it ended that way.

After a Monday meeting someone gave me a story in the BB to read and then a chapter in the Bible to read. I read the BB story and then stopped reading and then got sick and did nothing for the next 2 days.

Tonight after all was said and done I read another chapter in the BB and then opened the Bible to Romans chapter 12. This was the passage I was told to read and the 3rd verse said it all.

Tonight I am greatful for humility and ask God to keep it coming.

Grateful for a sober year ending and a new one beginning. Grateful that I choose not to drink anymore. Best thing I've ever done for myself.

Grateful for my first NYE without booze (root beer doesn't count). Growing up my parents always gave us a sip of champagne at midnight.

Grateful for clean sheets, a clean fridge and a clean self.

Grateful for sleeping dogs.

Grateful more than words can say for sobriety.

Today I am grateful
  • For 30 days sobriety
  • The "Holiday Drinking Season" is over
  • To have awakened on New Year's Day without a hangover. I did not know it was possible - but by golly it is!
