Greatful for an awesome meeting tonight to talk to other alcohlics. Greatful for what I learned. Greatful to God for helping fight the battle today. Greatful for my wife who stuck by me even went I put her through misery. Greatful for good family and friends.

Tonight I'm grateful that my van died on a quiet street and not while driving on the highway.
It could have been very bad and I'm grateful that it wasn't worse than it was.

That really bites least..Hope it is some cheap little hose that won't cost much to get it fixed.

Grateful for the warm kitten on my lap making it hard to type.
Grateful that despite the vehicular adversity I didn't drink over it.
I was tempted for a minute but didnt act on it. Grateful that my rational self is in the driver's seat and tells the addict in the back seat to 'shut up'!!

Grateful that least's van died on a quiet street because the same thing happened to me tonight....what's up with that?!?
So I am grateful my truck died 3 miles from home instead of on the NJ turnpike where I was 2 hours earlier...I am grateful the tow truck came quickly....I am grateful for the kind souls who asked if I was ok....I am grateful for a good long cry...and I am grateful that I did not want to drink over the whole d@MN thing
I am hoping I can be grateful for an inexpensive replacement for the alternator tomorrow...send positive thought my Jeeps way please

- That my appt with an addictions counselor today went well. I see her again Tues.
- That I have health insurance to help offset the cost of counseling
- That I invited a friend to come over for a sober NYE and she said sure!
- That I have 27 days sober
- That I have SR for encouragement and support

instead of dumping my doo-doo, and asking her,
for the gazillionth time yet again,
to fix another mess i made.

Grateful for another peaceful sober day.
Grateful that LaFemme died 3 miles from home. Praying that you have a cheap repair bill. And that this NEVER happens again. I hate break downs...
Grateful that I don't have to go out and about this weekend ..we have a blizzard moving in. BUT I am sure it is nothing compared to what others are going thru back East..8 to 10 inches is all we are supposed to get but we always have very ANGRY winds that blow daily.

Grateful for the delicious pot roast dinner I shared tonight with my Honey
Grateful for the gift card from sister that allowed us to stock up on essentials and flea collars for our beloved pets
Grateful for our leaky old hot tub, nothing better than a hot soak while snow gentle falls on your face
Grateful to have a computer to keep in touch
Grateful to Jesus that I am never alone
