Bedtime gratitude-Part 19
Grateful for a happy peaceful day, tho I must say that most of my days are happy since I embraced sobriety with both arms. Grateful to feel a part of life instead of watching it pass me by. Grateful to find happiness in the little things. Just really grateful tonight.
grateful to see the man that gave me my third generation original 90 day coin.
it's been in my pocket almost everyday,
misplaced it a few times, though it has always turned up.
after the meeting, i asked,
how his spiritual condition was...
he said, not too good, then he asked if he could take the coin a few minutes...
he wondered off grasping the coin, and out of one ear,
i heard him talking to his deceased dad!
grateful to have heard that!

Grateful to be working again - so grateful.
Grateful for mates.
Grateful for the patience of people- amazing how much difference just a smile and a bit of patience makes.

on the ride up to the flea market today,
i felt a stillness, like i never felt before.
it was about 5:30 in the morning,
not a soul on the road, in the sticks of the route up,
up ahead, i see the lights, you know the kind.
four cop cars were in the road, one copper was sweeping up debris, and very slowly.
Of course i slowed down, and to my left i saw a car,
dead center of a split telephone pole, everything seamed like slow motion at that point,
i thought, just how really precious life is.
grateful that thought has remained with me.

Grateful for an excellent day working in my business, then time with kids and hubby... and I look forward to some time for me in my cozy bed to reflect on today, be proud of my progress, appreciate the fact I will wake up without a hangover and not crave a drink... and I will be enjoying reading a fabulous book. The book of the week is.... drum roll..............
