Grateful that staying sober has given me much more energy and ambition - enough to rake the dog yard today (makes it easier to find the canine land mines).

Grateful that I had the ability and strength to finally take all my empty beer cans and other bottles to the recycle depot... made $500.00

It really made me think about what all of those bottles cost full. So glad to have them out of my storage shed... and it was just another added reminder that this disease really cost a lot of money to have.

Great day...

I also went to the health food store to spend some of that money on healthy stuff. Oh, the joy of being healthy and feeling great!

Yep, def. grateful to be a drunk in recovery instead of being the mean drunk I used to be.

Good going IWBWI! Glad you're free of the bottles and cans

I am grateful that my son is doing so much better than just a few months ago. Thank you, God!!

I am grateful for the wisdom SR has given me to recognize my OWN problems with alcohol and inspired me to get sober.

I grateful for this Day 8.

Score! That's awesome.

Grateful that I'll finish up two large work projects today, "God willing" of course.

Grateful that being sober allows me to walk the dogs every day... and in so doing tonight I met a student at the elementary school across the street who wants me to hire her to rake my leaves. Done! She's got moxie and I need a leaf raker so she's got a job. Grateful how things work out from being sober.

Grateful for a slow easy day today, and being able to sleep late this morning. Grateful that my kids and I are getting along a lot better lately. Last but not least... grateful that living sober is making all these good things possible!

Grateful for a comfortable bed, heat (furnace fixed today, no charge!) and a fridge full of food. Wonderful reminders that even though I'm on a tight budget right now, I CAN pay the bills and I HAVE the things I need while so many others do not.
