I posted this earlier in my original thread:
Things have calmed down since I wrote that, but I'm still planning on making it an early night. Thanks for asking.
Tougher than I anticipated
This is just nuts. My wife left this morning and my AV has been going wild trying to convince me that I can do anything I want today. I've also had some shakes and sweats, but they've gone away. What I've been doing to combat the temptations is to stay busy. Earlier, even though it was something like 8F I went for a 3 mile walk. I then took care of some house stuff and most recently finished making raviolis for tonight's and future dinners. I made a garlic parsley dough and the stuffing is eggplant. Tonight I'm going to serve it with a tomato sauce I previously made and a salad. I have some reading in my future and will probably go to bed early.

Thanks, but I'm not sure it's worth a plane ride from WI. :-) Of course, if you insist on coming, there will be a plate for you at the table.
Thanks. As I wrote before in my original thread, it was a win win. It kept me occupied and not drinking and I now have a dinner for me tonight and an easy one for me and my wife sometime in the future.

Just yesterday I stumbled across the recipe thread that SW is a big contributor in. Lots of goodness there and I need to spend some time reading some of the already posted recipes.

Thanks. Gotta say I'm looking forward to eating it.
Pasta, etc.
Off and on, more on lately, I've made it a point to write what I was cooking for dinner and AFAIK the response to the raviolis has been by far and away the biggest. Here's a little secret:
They aren't that hard to make. It does take some time and experience helps with the "feel", but once you get proficient if you batch make the ravs or just pasta then future meals are no more difficult or time consuming than buying dried pasta in a box or frozen store bought raviolis. Just so there's no confusion, I serve those also so this isn't a snob issue. I do so much scratch cooking because I like to know what's in the food I'm eating as well as having a say in the taste profile.
On a more serious note, since I've been hanging around SR my AV has withered away. Hopefully it's gone for the day.
