Hey FBL how are you faring today?

It's 90 in my place. I had to take 2 cool showers but the humidity does not seem to awful and I am still adjusting without AC. I haven't had quite as bad lightheaded ness, I am really surprised. I wonder if it is from trying Hawk' s advice. But would it really help this quickly?

I've been in the air conditioned office all day today. Stepped outside briefly and went right back inside. It's tough to breathe out there today for sure. I need to get back in the habit of my daily walks soon.

How long has it been Hawk? I don't remember if you use AC at home. If you do, and would like to exercise indoors, I really recommend a mini stepper. They can be had for about 60 bucks and take up no space at all. I got mine at Target I think.

sleepie, are you having trouble with airflow in your air conditioning? Tried changing the filter?

I've got one of the mini steppers. Nice to have when outside's ugly.

Oh, no Trach. I try and avoid using AC. I want to acclimate as much as I can. I might indulge and turn it on to sleep tonight though because the heat really jacks up he sleeping.

Here's the problem: once the house heats up to outside temps, it takes forever to cool down. I switch mine off when I'm not home. Takes a little while to cool off but better than the house becoming a thermal trap.

We've got some rain here this morning. This helps cool down the temp, but the added moisture only boosts the humidity. It's supposed to dry-out this weekend, so it should be more comfortable.

The mini stepper sounds great sleepie--I have an elliptical thing I don't use often enough but boy, it's been hot and humid here too.
The heat index was 101 today, and humidity was so bad my patio doors and windows were actually fogged this morning.

I do have AC sleepie--husband and elderly dogs in particular need it pretty cool
but that sometimes makes it hard for me to deal with the dramatic temp difference
as I'm the only one who does things outside in weather like this.

I am so grateful to have the AC and be able to keep it this cool, however.

Take it very easy in weather like this sleepie--nothing to fool with especially
if you're feeling woozy.

Sleepie, I don't have AC in my place. I get by with a couple of fans. I do work a lot though, so I enjoy the AC at the office, especially during the daytime hours.

I don't spend my money on exercise equipment. It's walk outside or nothing for me

I already went for my walk this morning, before sunrise. The rain has stopped for now, but it's still pretty steamy outside. Every passing day brings us closer to my favorite season, the fall. This too shall pass.

I thought I was going to pass out last night was 82 percent humidity and hot in here all night. We went to see a movie and I was lightheaded and anxious for the first 40 minutes. Still balmy. I just don't know anyone else that gets this problem.

I really love my stepper it is great cardio.
