oops hey Hawkeye I think you suggested farmer's markets for veggies... they are insanely expensive here, like 4 bucks for a tomato lol!
So I haven't been for ages. Sometimes though I wader through just to look at things.

Hey sleepie--that sucks that things are so expensive.
The other place I go and get good deals here is the international market
where students / immigrants shop.
Produce is usually a good value there and also they have really good prices on condiments like fish sauce, vinegar, olive oil etc.
Sending you a big hug today--you did it and got totally clean.
Give yourself a pat on the back.
Lots of people could not have done what you did

I like the first one, reminds me of Nick Cave. Danielson is a little too cacophonous for me. I don't follow music, just come across songs. This group really resonated with me a couple years ago when I saw their letterman performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvkE9auNyNc

Thanks Hawkeye, I guess I don't feel victorious since I don't have a clean bill of health for my efforts, and I don't feel good either. Nothing has improved since I quit. Nothing at all.
Davai I really used to like Nick Cave but he really takes himself too seriously.
Every now and then I go back and listen though. Have you ever seen Johnny Suede? He has a funny scene in it

I saw him perform years ago. He was sick so he didn't perform much. He is very odd looking, he reminded me of a muppet.

It took awhile to feel the positive change for me too--especially mentally
as I was pretty bad in terms of paranoia, anxiety, fear, insomnia, etc. but gradually things
did get better.
I also wasn't still polluting my body and mind on a daily basis,
which overall has made a great positive difference in my health.
I also saved quite a bit of money

It's all physical Hawkeye and these constant dr appointments are going to ruin me... I think I'll just have to keep going back until they find something terminal this sucks I wanted to quit and move on with my life.
Each time I have dared to hope in the past, I only got confirmation of my worst fears.

I rarely go to the Doctor now
I choose not to worry about what my drinking may have done to my body,
and instead "invest" in positive thinking and doing things for my health.
You can get free yoga online and do bodyweight exercises in your home--
Try putting that former "addiction & worry" energy there.
It can and will help--it's still early days and the quitting / immediate aftermath is the hardest part and you are still in it.
Overall, I do feel better physically and mentally, although I am still dealing with underlying issues.
Quitting isn't a magic cure, but it does give me a fighting chance that drinking never did.
