Hmmm... well I am a dumb a** I tried to fry potatoes and didn't know you have to boil them first. What is this TWO steps to cooking a thing???

No.

Oh well, more dirty dishes. This is why I don't do cooking. I mean seriously all the mess, for one person... nah. Nope.

Gotta walk some dogs... back in a bit.

Another quicker (but maybe not quite as nice) idea is to stick the spuds in the microwave if you have one and then fry them. You can leave the skins on too to make it easier if you like - just give them a good scrub. Watch out for the hot steam when you cut them open.

I could never be bothered cooking for myself when I was single. Actually, come to think of it, I can hardly be bothered cooking now either. I used to love it. Dunno, just got sick of it. I love food most of the time but other times having to eat just feels like a pain in the neck. All the prep and clean up. Ou vey!

There is no microwave here, I'm staying elsewhere for a couple weeks.
I had thought of all the easy prep stuff though that you can do when you have one. It does help out. I really shouldn't even be eating taters, white carbs shoot my sugars way high. I found a dark chocolate bar and ate that...

Jeez Mags are you ok? I am sorry, I just now caught that you have asthma... please forgive me while my sub-par brain tries and repairs from the many years of depressants...
I didn't mean to be rude.

Whhhhaaaat? Boil taters before frying? What planet?

Slice taters, immerse in grease, cook till done. Never heard the "cook twice" thing.

You can cover with a lid and sort of steam / fry
That gives you a bit of tooth but cooks them firm-tender with a
crispy crust

Sorry I missed your rough night sleepie--long day and into evening at work.

Well done on getting through the taper.

Oh, and I hate summer too. Too hot and miserable and the sun gives me a headache. I have been loving these cooler fall days. Fall is my favorite.

Maybe muster up the energy to walk out for a cup of coffee...
This town's too good for Dunkie's, only Starbuck's...
