Keep me company?

Probably looking at another long sleepless night.
Kind of dizzy and ill today.
I did this looooong taper so slowly and felt great last time I tapered off klonopin, this time valium, so I don't understand why I feel so awful this time.
Davaidavai I watched that music video, I forgot that music usually helps me feel a little better, I used to start every day with music.

A little later it's 72 hours no benzos. And on week 12 no alcohol.

Sorry for this rambling post, what have you guys been up to?
It was all I could do to run a couple errands and do light chores, and cook a little something. Kinda useless just staying in bed and listening to the wet leaves being blown around.

(((Sleepie)))

You are doing amazing!!!!

Just though I'd mention there is a meeting starting at 9PM EST in the chat meeting room here. Maybe come in, even just listen for a little company?

It's THE thing to do on a Tuesday night....

Sure. May not be for long as I'm in the middle of a down. I'll hang with you for a while, though.

I am too. Terrible, God awful day emotionally. Put it this way, I have a dentist's appointment in half an hour and I'm almost looking forward to it just to get me out of myself.

Sleepie, you have done and are doing soooooo well. I hope you know that. Lying in bed listening to the leaves blow around sounds kind of nice. Hope you feel better soon too, Trach.

Hi sleepie, we call it the doldrums in uk. The time between summer and winter, nights drawing in, mornings darker!

I've just got back from A&E, had an asthma attack. Ok now though, unsure what brought this one on.

Hope you're feeling better soon, sleepie. It does all come to pass.

I'll be OK. I know these feelings. I just slog through and wait them out.

sleepie, you have done amazingly well! You haven't done anything destructive and more importantly, you haven't done anything self-destructive. Learn to count victories anywhere you find them.

Didn't drink.
Didn't drug.
Didn't crush pets or scare children.

It's lovely of you to ask Sleepie, but you know that feeling when it just feels too much to even try to explain it? Plus I have to go to the dentist. I think maybe a lot of it is physical. Still withdrawing maybe. Regrets a plenty. No motivation to do anything. That's the short version. Well, I best be off now. I've got 15 minutes to get there.......rest up now :-)

I really thrive in the Fall, normally. Summer makes me an anxious, sweaty, unhappy wreck. I have always been bothered by bright sunlight, I don;t like clear skies, they make me uncomfortable and nervous. I'm a freak.
I guess, Trach. Just feel like garbage. I keep seeing these "I'm on day 2 and I feel so awesome!" kinda posts and I'm like... I guess it's too late for me. I'm not gonna be a success story. My health and life are done.

sleepie, you are a success story! People die from the very things you have been able to conquer. You just need time to recover from the damage done. You will recover. Turn your face to the sun and know that it will get better.

LOL!

Close your eyes then, and feel the sun on your face. You've got this, sleepie. You went to the bottom and crawled out of addiction. Don't doubt that you can climb into happiness.

I like to backpack. Solo. I love the all uphill days. Nothing but constant exertion all day long hauling my fat ass plus 30 pounds of gear uphill all day.

When I get to the top, to camp, I collapse in a pile of sweat soaked nylon and rejoice that I have not had a heart attack. The beauty of that is that any hill, any hike, gives me the same exhilaration that Edmund felt conquering Everest.

You have to take your conquests. You have to take the exhilarations life gives you. They come. Take them as they come.
