I can sleep better and I love waking up warm and not sweating. I love cooking too so Ive been just experimenting in the kitchen. I was pissed though I was sleeping and had a dream about drinking and I woke up thinking I relapsed... my dreams are still really vivid that's the only thing that worries me...

Cheers

Dru -
I had a drinking dream the other day too, dru. They really upset me. I'm only about 2 1/2 mos sober so maybe it's an early sobriety thing?

Can't make much happen with defunct grey matter.
I was talking to my boyfriend the other day. You have to have at least one of the following to have a chance, just a chance, at life.
Family
Beauty
Brains
Money

I got none.

My life shows it.

Beauty - yes, you posted a photo.
Family - yes, you've got us motley crew.
Brains - yes, goes without saying.
Money - yes, if you have food and a roof over your head you are in the top 3% wealth-wise in the world. If you own your own house you're in the top 1% (this is what I heard, and I thought it sounded like it could well be true).

The problem is in our Western culture we (quite naturally) compare ourselves to the top 1 or 2 %, and tend to forget about the other 97%. This isn't meant to be a 'be thankful' speech at all. It's just that when I heard those statistics it really made me think again. Do I really need a new kitchen? Not really. You know? Dang, now I'm thinking about my crappy kitchen :-D

I don't know that I believe that statistic, that 97 percent of the world is homeless and without food.
omg that photo was about... 20 years ago lol! You got some funny ideas about beauty...
I appreciate the effort though

Hi cow... I have not been too perfect about the diet but I am eating the food I purchased and tomorrow will try and steam some veggies. I was worn out after a few errands and light cooking today! That Kerrygold's is pretty delicious...I had friends that used to love it but I'd never bought it before.

Where is 2ndhandRose?
What did you do today fini?
Hey sleepie, I have been laying kind of low as of late. Just feeling kind of blah, wondering if I am making progress in recovery or just spinning my wheels. I find it hard to put myself out in the world, in real life and online. I would have thought it would be easier to show my under belly online but not so much I have to say I really admire your ability to put yourself out here.

I am going to visit my best friend in the province next door, for about a week. I haven't seen her for 2 years so I am excited but also a bit nervous as we are both changing as we grow older but maybe not in the same direction. I am sure it will be fine but still have my little worry...

You are doing so awesome! It is such a hard thing you have done and I know you are not feeling the awesomeness of it yet but you will. I don't know when but I just feel sure that you will

Hi rose thank you for stopping by.

I hope I do not have any regrets about putting myself out there...
I feel the same as far as spinning my wheels. I just plain do not feel good enough to do anything else.
I hope you will enjoy visiting your friend or at least taking a little trip
