I’m up and ready for a coffee at the cafe terrace….and later a nap with the kitty

Here's a mantra we may have heard before, but a good reminder:

Up at 4:30

My Montreal Canadiens won 5-4 last night vs the Philadelphia Flyers.
It made me happy before going to bed

I'll work on my beloved "black widow" today.
I want to learn some Stevie Nicks songs for Chloé to sing at the fireplace ♪♫♪

(I notice there is still an ashtray on the table even if I quit smoking 6 years ago
Also a "
James P. Sullivan" saying hi to Purps!)

Have a good day friends ☼

I would be honored, CK!
How about Landslide?

My kitten, KitzyKuKu...(named because she in incredibly "coo coo" about life) sleeps in a bed on a shelf above my bed. (She loves the view from up there)!

I fill a little gold metal bowl with Temptation Treats for her and I guess she wanted a "midnight snack" & I was sleeping... somehow she dropped the bowl on my foreheadLol

Now we are both " coo coo"!

Ahh no Leigh, no Bear at ZBB while I work the stage barrier It was a great concert and a fun crowd, almost 3 hours of music over 3 sets, and great warm-ups from Robert Randolph and Sam Hunt. My legs are sure sore and cramped this morning!

I started to post earlier but went back to bed. I don’t know why I’m so tired from a common cold. Old age maybe catching up.

I see I’m not the only domestic critter lover. It is nice to wake up with a kitten curled up purring.

CK how about “Gypsy”? I love Fleetwood Mac but was never a fan of Stevie’s solo work. That Stand Back song grates on my nerves. Glad you enjoyed show Astro.

I’m signing off to eat a blueberry bagel.

A good Sunday ahead.

Imval,
Whenever I would return home to visit my parents my Dad would announce, "Hey, the 'gypsy' is back!"

I loved doing that song. Great lyrics!

There is an old movie my Dad an I use to watch where a spy hides by pretending to be gypsy...he wears a 'Golden Earring' thus the title...for years I wore one golden earring to amuse my father! Lol

Up at 4 (what a surprise)

Listening to "Gypsy" by Fleetwood Mac to answer Val's question...sorry Val, never heard this song before but I like it!
I read that in 2017, Stevie Nicks recorded an acoustic version to serve as the theme song for the Netflix drama series "Gypsy"
Nicks has a very specail voice, I wonder if Chloe could cover this song.
I could learn how to play it if so...
Btw, how is your cold Val?

Monday is garbage day in here.
I'll take them out and my to-do list will be done!

Astro, I always wanted to see the Robert Randolph Family band back in the day. They were a good band. I got to see the Trey Anastasio Band with up and coming band Goose Saturday night. Great show if anyone here likes jam bands. I didn't get home until 1:30 am after working a full day. I have become the obvious designated driver for concerts over the years since I no longer drink, but it can be tiring at times. Grateful beyond words to be able to do this still at my age.

Off again to get yet another car serviced before winter strikes hard here. Three of our cars are in the ten to eighteen years old realm, so I take extra precautions to make sure they stay running.

It was a crazy week at work. We broke our all-time weekly sales record, and the store looked as though we were expected twenty inches of snow.

I love Stevie Nick's vocals. Fleetwood Mac was a sound track growing up for me in the 70's. If you are not familiar , you should check out the early Peter Green Fleetwood Mac albums, when they were a blues band. I think the formula they hit on later as a band worked better.

I hope everyone has a great day!

stargazer, Robert Randolph is sure amazing on the pedal steel and has a fantastic band. All three acts Sat. night performed a medley of 70's & 80's disco hits, it was really entertaining.

I'm glad this is a somewhat shortened work week, my body is sore from the weekend activities and I've got a tough work assignment for the next few days, but of course this too shall pass.

Have a great week y'all!

I am a late riser today. My cold is better but I now have a deep cough. That is always at the end of my cold symptoms.

CK and Chloe Gypsy was on Fleetwood Mac’s 1982 album Mirage. It’s in my top five rating list. Another favorite song is Angel on YouTube from a live performance. It is speeded up and the interplay between her and Lindsey is entertaining. I’ll be busy on YouTube today!

SG my oil light came on yesterday which is not a good sign. Car servicing before I go anywhere else.

Have a good Monday everyone.
