Good morning. I’m glad you stopped in Alpine. I happily woke up bright and early again or dark and early.
I have errands to run today with no darn snow forecast.
A very small black kitten found me outside yesterday. My daughter had cat food and purchased litter, bowls, more food and a toy. He was starving hungry and cold. Of course we can’t keep him as I’ve said before and ended up years later with an ornery old tomcat. We’ll see what happens.

A neighbor didn't want this very cool fort that was built for his grandson. We disassembled it and built an open feeding sanctuary in the backyard. It is a great shelter and has multiple feeding stations. We put in a solar fountain. I am getting good use out of my binoculars! Thinking of putting in a camera!

I cannot believe how fast the holidays are arriving...when I was a child it seemed like it took forever for Christmas to get here! I use to count down the days...Now, I can't keep up with them!

I’m afraid to look outside. Heavy blowing snow and cold forecast today. I can be a wimp and call into the old geezer meeting. I would rather go in person. We shall see how icky it gets. A very good stay in jammy day with a book. Plus the kitten can snooze on my lap.
My therapist is back doing telehealth and it was wonderful to talk yesterday. This has been one heck of a year!
SG I never enjoyed Christmas for 30 years when I worked at the Postal Service. Piles of cards with red and green envelopes to try and read and massive overtime. These days everything is automated. I am an old geezer.
Coffee with more coffee sounds good.

Star,The other time of the year that I REALLY want to ~ s l o w d o w n ~ is the time between March Madness and Memorial Day! Those 3 months seem to disappear on me because we are planting hundreds of seeds for our greenhouses.
Lucky kitten! Does it have a name? When we found our last kitten she was about the size of a hamster. Not in great shape. If not for her cries we would have never found her in the grasses.
I just kept calling her Baby...now she is BabyBoo! Lol

Val, I had a friend who retired from the postal service a year ago. He used to work from early morning to 9:00pm sometimes during Christmas. Apparently, the Service is shorthanded, and they offered him a $20 an hour rate to help out this holiday. He declined. The job nearly killed him and left him a wreck physically and mentally. Hats off to anyone who made a career there.
It's very quiet at the sober cafe this time of morning. The coffee is still fresh!
