Starting a stretch where I have to work ten of the next eleven days before Christmas. It's why retail workers, just like postal workers, do not really get to enjoy the holidays. It is more of an endurance test of survival until the end. Hopefully, when I retire down the road, I will be able to partake more fully in the holiday vibes.

Semi early riser. I couldn’t get to sleep last night after sleeping 10 hours the night before.
The blizzard was a bust. Not much snow but bitterly cold with the high wind and a lot of surrounding highway closures. School should be open thankfully.
My sinus infection is much better. That was no fun at all but I will finish the antibiotic as instructed even though it makes me dizzy.
I don’t know what I’m up to today.
Heading to the cafe now.

Wind died down slightly and just a misty rain with 40° temps...which pretty much feels like the early part of Spring!
I bought an indoor grow garden and grow lights for seed starting. Really excited to grow some fragrant cooking herbs for my herb garden. Ever since I can remember I just loved to see things grow!
My earliest memory was in kindergarten when we grew a bean in a clear cup in a water soaked paper towel so we could see them sprout!Then we put then in a pretty Dixie cup full of soil and gave it to our mothers for Mother's Day!
I was hooked on gardening from then on!
I found a stray seed from our Halloween pumpkin and tucked in into one of my houseplant's soil and it grew! It makes me smile every time I see the happy little thing!
Just doin' its thing!
Turning in early...it gets dark so fast now that it seems later than it is.Member

Beannie Babies? OMG!
I have a trunk load of those...just had to have everyone that came out! Now I use them to decorate for the holidays. Bunnies & Ducks for Easter, bats & owls for Halloween...whatever is colorful for Springtime!

Up early enough at 6:00 AM something and am enjoying my coffee and double chocolate muffin.
SG I sympathize with the Xmas work schedule. I still to this day refuse mailing cards out. I grew to dread looking at them. The red and green envelopes were hard to read quickly. These days machines read mail but the endless feeding and loaded is mind numbing I’m sure. It’s a toss up if your mind goes out before your body. Both of mine did.
I have the 11:00 meeting and Gdaughter after. I don’t know what we’ll do today but we both need a change of scenery.

Many years ago I use to drive by a Lake A- frame Cabin just like the one in the video. I always wanted to live in one! Little did I know that I would be living just down the road from that same house! I still drive by it and admire how beautiful it looks inside thru all those lovely windows! Especially at Christmas time!
