Early Sober Risers Check-in Thread
I was an ultra-early riser when I drank but not for the same reason--it was WD's. As an all-day drinker I had to get to the store at 5:59 and be at the register at 6 (the earliest this state allows alcohol sales) so I could get some in me to function. Sometimes it was 2:30 and I would just watch the clock....for hours. Glad I don't have to do that anymore. In-friggin-sanity!
a true wake up call !
Good morning early ones -- 5:39 AM.
My wife in her third grade class each year hatches baby chickens, then she brings them home for us to raise. None of them over the years have been rosters. Well, it appears that in this last batch brought home a while back we have two rosters !
As they are starting to harmonize in the morning -- a true wake up call !
A nice sober day wished for all.

4:34 today. a bit early but boy, I sure love the quiet and I will be taking the dog out soon to catch the birds a-stirring. Coffee's good, head is in the right place and I have no regrets from yesterday. Life is good.
I was a slave to the devil
Feel the same today zombob and that is very important to me.
3:18 AM here in southern Calif.
Retired here but, occasionally I work part time.
I guess that I would call it very part time.
Going out early this morning to test a water well for GPM (output).
It's four hours of running the well out in the beautiful back country.
In the old days I would take a 12 pack of Bud with me
and some smoking material.
I was a slave to the devil.

Good mornin' Bob and others. A little sketchy sleep as we had quite the wind a'howlin here last night with a storm but all is well. Brother does tree work so it will be a money week for him. Maybe my neighbors' leaves blew back into his yard or elsewhere. Will have to investigate. There's always some Yin in the Yang and vice-versa. I'm going with the cup being half full today--hope y'all do too.
Sounds good zombob.
I had an auto accident yesterday and must admit,
my cup was half empty.
But, today is a bright new day
and the sober cup is half full.
Actually here at 4:23 AM
it's 3/4 full.
A nice sober day wished for all,

Mornin Gang. Late riser today and the headache is back. Think it's time to cut back on the caffeine a bit. Drank Iced tea right up to bedtime last night. Will cut it off at earlier today. Glad it's friday I suppose. Get to spend time with the wife for a few before she leaves town for 2.5 days next week. 2 daughters' bdays next week along with thanksgiving--lotsa planning to do...sober (Yay!).
Some sad news: down to the last of the pickled habenero's (locally grown). Bad canning planning due to a drunken summer. Tomorrow will mark the last of the really good egg sammiches we've enjoyed for the last several months and will have to settle for mexican peppers from walmart. Alas, another good reason to Not drink. Onward!
