There's a lot of wonderful things with my eyes open what could be better than that but you know what even after 16 years I still enjoy reading pages 8687 and 88 out of our book Alcoholics Anonymous where it says upon awakening it really helps me specially the bottom of page 87 where I get to push my pause button during the day and when I go to bed I read the first paragraph on page 86 and review my day so I can go to bed with a clear conscience and wake up happy
I woke up around 4 am and made it out of bed at 6.
My coffee is my higher power of the moment - El Salvador, tierrea fertil, ciuadad barrios. Fancy! It used to be whatever was left from the night before or what I had to do to get some.
Next up is meditation, maybe go to a 10 am meeting then do my billing and get some quotes in for a couple clients. Life is good.

Tis the season for the crazies to emerge
and sneak up on ya.
Morning SR Early Risers on this Nov. Morning.
I got up around 4:45 this morning, grabbed
my hot coffee and have been reading the
news from the night and now im here on SR.
SR has been my go to for a few yrs now
for that extra support in my own recovery
and is a good way to stay connected to my
program.
Anyway....
Yesterday we stopped at our Albertsons
for a few items and I was approached by
a young man, who startled me when I turned
around.
My husband was getting a cart so he
wasn't right by me at that time when
I was shocked by this stranger. He had
grease on his hands and first he apologized
for startling me, and proceeded to say that
he was having trouble with his transmition
with his white car where he pointed it out
in the parking lot and if I could help him.
WHAT???????
I emmediately told him I couldn't help
him and he said ok and moved off quickly.
By then my husband caught up with me
and I told him what the guy wanted.
It was like, How in the hell can me as a
woman help you with your transmition?
What the hell do you expect me to do?
As we walked into the store the manager
and another customer was standing at
the window talking loudly and pointing
to the stranger in the parking lot approaching
people for money and help.
Anyway....as we were checking out the
manager was talking to the cashier about
the guy and said he went out to tell him
to leave and if he didn't he would call
the police.
So the guy got in his so called car that
was having transmition problems
and drove off.
You know, that kind of stuff rattles me.
Now that this happened I can be on extra
alert and awareness of our surroundings
when we get out.
No one better mess with the lady in a
pretty dress and tattoos, I may have
to slap them silly...lol
and sneak up on ya.

Happy Saturday SR Early Risers.
Got my dark roast CC Community Coffee
in my cup sitting right next to me on my
side table, VH1 video music switiching
back and forth to the Weather Channel
after waking up around 4:45am.
I worked hard in the yard yesterday
as we prepare for the first light freeze
tomorrow night. It will get down to 38
tonight and 33 tomorrow -Sunday- nite.
I poured top soil like crazy on low spots
in my gardens then spread red mulch
thru out the beds till I ran out. I'll be
back on it again today to make sure my
lovely gardens are protected for our 1st
low tempts of the year.
Other than feeling physically good from
all yesterdays work out, im still emotionally,
and spiritually, soberly fit in mind, body
and soul as we inch towards Thanksgiving
next week.
Hope everyone has a sober or clean
Saturday in whatever you do today.

So I'm a lazy old SOB today and made it out of bed sometime around 8 AM. Sue me!
Going to my Saturday morning 11 AM, watching socccer on the TV then meeting an old AA friend and guy he's sponsoring this evening to show the new guy it isn't all just step work, meetings and service. Practicing these principles in all our affairs requires we go out in the world and have some you know, affairs.

Good morning it's 8.40, having coffee and a browse through this wonderful site, a friend is call 10.45 to bring me to a step meeting at 11am, feeling anxiety creeping back from xanax detox or maybe it was a bad dream.
I've ask for strength from my higher power and also to help the suffering addict out there. no craving so far.

Morning Early Risers from B.R. Louisiana.
I'm watching the Weather Channel
checking on what the weather temps
will be today, tonight and the rest of
the week.
Which of us Early Risers is having snow
already?
We here down south will dip down to
33 and will quickly warm up for the rest
of the week to the 60's or so. Which is
cool for me, so I can get more mulch layed
down in my flower beds.
Anxiety or depression affects many folks
on a daily bases. In recovery we first of all
learn to remain sober or clean using a program
of recovery to help us remain sober on a daily
bases.
Our doctors and physicians are available
to us to use to help us when needed for
whatever ails us.
Chemicals, poisons, toxins can and do a
harmful number on our bodies and minds
causing us to have a chemical imbalance
in there which relates to us having anxiety
or depression.
There are many ways to combat these
chemical imbalances as we talk with our
doctors always being honest about our
addictions to alcohol or drugs and our
on going recovery using a program of
recovery to help us remain sober and
clean.
When getting help from our doctors
I always make sure they know exactly
what I don't want if medicine is prescribed
to me. It can't be narcotic or habit forming.
Remember, its okay to use our doctors. We
don't need to live life in pain, whether it be
physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
Remembering that each one of us is
wired differently inside and no 2 people
are alike, so what works for one person
will not necessarily work for another.
Find what works for us as individual
with our doctors if necessary and be
patient. Meaning, if anxiety or depression
meds are prescribes , it takes time for them
to work in our bodies. Each may cause
side affects and if one doesn't work
with our bodies, make sure to work
closely with your physician to find
one that will work well for you to
insure you are on track with your
recovery to achieve better healthy,
happiness, honesty and quality of
life for years to come.
Taking care of ourselves in recovery
by using all those awesome resources
available to us properly is okay.
