Good morning early risers. 2:05 AM here. Normally I'm up by 3:30-4:00 AM but today is a lIttle earlier than normal. Was exhausted after a morning repainting a room in our house. Then spent the afternoon at a local festival. Was out by 7:30 pm.

Well it's 12:44 AM here.
I went to bed early and woke very early.

Went outside to have some hot tea and smoke my pipe (tobacco).
And to check out the Star Shower lights I recently installed.

I bought a six pack of these so I could give some away (they are cool)
Star Shower - Shower Your Home with Thousands of Dazzling Lights
https://youtu.be/gRaTgfnuI14

Think I will go hit the couch and watch some news,
then wake up in a few hours and give this another try.

In the old days I would be getting a drink right now !

Sober Sunday here in Baton Rouge.

Woke up around 4:50am and headed
to the kitchen for my first of several
cups of good Community Coffee just
waiting to be poured in my tall coffee
cup.

I hadn't seen this thread in a few days
or since I last posted and decided to
pull up my own post to see if there were
any further activity on them.

Im glad I checked this one as I see a
few more early rises came to post.
Yay..!!!

I read your post MtnBob and the star
light made me sit up and get excited
because I was just talking to my husband
about wanting some kind of star lights
to shine on our white fence that surrounds
our back yard.

We already have garden lights that are
placed around our pool and are lite with
red bulbs because red is my all time favorite
color and is the main color in my home,
roof, flowers, my comfy red recliner chairs
inside and out, rugs, etc.

Anyway, when we went to Lowes
yesterday, our second home, my
husband must have showed me those
star shower lights but it didn't register
to me what they were for some reason.

As I was telling him this morning about
ur lights, I told him that's what I was talking
about and wanted for our back yard. He
told me he showed them to me yesterday
while we were out and about.

What, I don't remember....lol

Anyway, I remember in the movie,
She's All That, they had these lights
or lots of little lights all over their
back yard and with a flip of the switch
the yrd turned magical.

That's what I want....lol

Thank You MtnBob for sharing what
those lights are and now I will know
what im looking for.

Question tho...... Do they come in just clear
lights or just in multi colors?

Now this is more like it -- up for the second time at 5:53 AM.

You are welcome aasharon.
These are the same lights as Seen Advertised on TV.
Cost is for one 40 dollars plus shipping or a six pack for 200 dollars.
They make very nice green laser color dots or red mixed with green.

Everyone that has seen them wants to buy one.

Have a nice sober day -- wished for all,
M-Bob

Early riser here too. Been up since
4:45am.

Been outside early with my coffee
and making sure my bird feeders
are in the right place, umbrellas up,
as we are due for rain today.

We have those early Mockingbirds,
Cardinals, Wrens, BlueJays, Sparrows,
ready to eat, so their suets and seed
feeders are full and under cover to not
get wet.

Drank one full coffee and now on
my second watch Classic VH1 video's
as I share my ESH - experiences, strengths
and hopes with early risers on SR.

Happy Sober Marvelous Monday SR..!!!

Happy Sober Terrific Tuesday here. Woke
up around 4ish, turned off my A/C and layed
in bed till 5am.

Turned on the TV, grabbed my Mt. Rushmore
coffee cup that I picked up on our Sturgis trip
this past August, filled it with piping hot coffee
sweetening it with SF cinnamon brown sugar
coffee flavoring and sat down in my comfy recliner
with my laptop on my lap sharing my early riser
post with you guys.

We are due for rain today, tomorrow, or
whenever it gets here. We were expecting
rain yesterday and didn't get nair a drop....lol

Anyway, im in a good place in my recovery
this morning as I look forward to todays activities,
making sure to keep what was taught to me
in mind and practice those important steps
and principles in my daily affairs and never
hesitate to ask for help if needed from the
fellowship of SR and from my HP - Higher
Power.

Good morning ER's! Getting over a bad case of opinionitis concerning some threads yesterday but sleep helped. Today is a new day and I don't have to practice that which I regret doing yesterday. A new day and coffee are just the greatest! Thank you solar system and south american coffee growers/pickers/shippers/roasters/packers.

Good morning, up since 9.30 here in Ireland, weather is quite bad but my spirits have elevated some what.
Had 2 Coffees and a dreaded cigarette (well actually 3 why am I lying)
Had a read over some post here and I'm happy to see some fab advice and suggestions given by the good people on here.
This day last week I was really in a bad way, the wounds are healing, the stitches are beginning to disappear and my cravings have reduced considerably.
I have lost my Job but hell I didn't like it anyway, maybe it was Gods plan, I'll get another one soon if I can stay sober which I plan to.
Enjoy the day everybody.

Wet Wednesday here in B.R. as
that slow moving rain finally got
to us late evening and night and
early this morning.

My husband install a small a/c behind
my side of the bed to keep me cool at
night, so I turned it off and could hear
the rain thru the unit and just wanted
to stay right where I was mesmerized
by the falling rain sounds.

That was around 4am as my ears were
listening to one thing and my nose was
sensing the aroma of fresh coffee brewing
in the kitchen waiting for me to respond.

I did get up around 5am, grabbed my cup
of coffee and now am sitting here sharing
my ESH with early risers like me.

A few weeks or so ago I read a reply to a post
I shared and it really ruffled my feathers causing
me to resent what was written. I know what I
am suppose to do from all the lessons Ive learned
in recovery about holding on to those resentments.

They can keep us sick in mind, heart and soul
eating away at us and interfering with us
emotionally, physically, spiritually until we
talk about it and let it go.

I finally did share my resentment with
one person I felt comfortable with and
got some much needed relief from harboring
this uncomfortable feeling of resentment
for as long as I did.

Some folks really know how to push buttons
and who knows, they may not know what they
are saying or doing, so chosing our words should
be a good way to do it. But then, we learn that
we have no control over other peoples thoughts
or actions and just have to accept it in a way that
we cant change or control these folks. So don't
even try. Right?

I try to share my own ESH- experiences,
strengths and hopes of what my own life
has, have and is like before, during and after
my drinking career. Never telling anyone
what they should do but to use suggestions
as guidance in recovery.

There are many affective lessons to learn
in recovery to help us achieve continuous
sobriety, health, happiness and honesty.

Okay, ive got to freshen my coffee.

See you early risers in a few.

Let's do it again

Thank you all for posting on this sober morning.

4:17 AM here

A sober buddy and I plan on doing some tree work around here this morning.
Then down the mountain for a nice outside on the patio lunch.
All we can eat buffet Italian food.

Let's do it again folks -- no drinking -- One Day At A Time.

Twilight is just around the corner and I'm ready for it. Couldn't always say that when drinking. T'was always...."and I'm ready for the stores to allow alcohol sales at 6." Same readiness but without the anxiety and singlemindedness. Peace to all y'all.

Waking up another morning sober
and well rested as I sit here with my
tall cup of hot coffee listening to the
vh1 music and weather on tv.

Don't have much planned for the
day, but will continue to Winter
prepare my garden beds as I see
we will dip down to 34 Sunday
morning after another front comes
thru down here in the south.

Late yesterday when the skies
darkened we plugged in a small
light projector we got from Home
Depot with a white revolving light
to reflect on our white fence.

From where we sit in our garage
at an angle, the light was pretty
mesmorizing as it swirled around.

We only bought one projector with
the white light, but it comes in other
colors, red, blue, green, multiple....
We chose the white but I believe
any color will look just a good.

I have several statues in my yard,
and where I placed the projector
it shines on Mother Mary allowing
Her to be lit up with a bright white
light swirling around Her. It's pretty
lovely to see.

I'll be heading outside in a few before
day break to plug my light in again for
some inspiration to carry me thru out
the day.

Whatever is needed to continue to
live in the Light and freedom from the
bondage of self will. Peace and Serenity
from the evils that are always lurking
to bring me down.

Let's stand strong against them all one
more sober or clean day.
