Kirby, I'm praying for Jason, and praying for you, that you be comforted and find the strength to endure this process. I have to believe he's going to be fine in the end. He has so much to give this world, he's given so much to all of us, and he is truly loved. That love extends to you as well. If I could trade places with him, I would in a heartbeat. Please tell him the profane angel sends her love, and remember to take care of yourself. Feeling so helpless but optimistic at the same time, TPA

(((Kirby))) oops, I did fall asleep but just woke back up. A mutual friend of mine and ((Jay's)), Pamm, lives in your state and if either of you need here, she will come up there.

Most of us feel the same, no matter where we live, but I told her he's never revealed where he lives, I respect that though he loves us, he's got a lot of walls built up from being hurt right now, and he'll reveal what he wants in his own time.

Going back to sleep, full of prayers for all of you.

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

This is the part I despise so much when it comes to situations like this, the waiting for news. (((Kirby))) Everyone is right, Jay is a strong will young man. If anyone can get through this, it’s him. I have faith he is in good hands. I have faith he will recover and get through this with flying colors. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jay, you and your family. Battles are hard to face but knowing your HP is holding your hand through it all you will make you a stronger sister.

Morning all.

Just sitting here, asking God to keep Jay safe. I think about how sweet it is that Kirby is letting us know how he is, cause Jay loves you all and you are important to him. What a blessing it is , to have friends. And I know that any one would be happy to be there with him if they could, or if he asked. I know it in my heart. That is some of the good stuff of the world, in my humble little mind. being there for each other in good times or bad. Jay knows he has all this love here, and that will be in his mind, along with other things that matter to him. I am sure his friends are taking care of Jays babies.

I work this evening, until 9pm, and hate not knowing what is going on for that long.

Tod- I am gonna go looking for a farmer , with chickens. In a cooler area, tho.
Oh, I forgot to tell you how much I laughed when that cricket fell out of your hair, while you were at the salon.

love to all

he made it through the surgery, but he's still on the ventilator. doctors are keeping him heavily sedated so he doesn't try to pull out his tubes and so it keeps his brain calm, though he is not quite comatose. thank you for all your prayers and support. i don't think they're going to have to put him in a coma or anything, thank god.

Tiredofdrugs, i just turned 14.

Impurrfect, thanks for the offer to call whenever, it means a lot to me.

Kirby,
Thank you so much for the good news. Hope you are doing ok, too. I know this must be tough. Jay is lucky to have you. And you are lucky to have him, cause he is a super nice guy.
hugs to you, and to Jay,

(((Kirby))) - thanks, so much, for letting us know. Didn't get much sleep last night as I was worried, but I still felt (and do feel) that he's going to be okay. Keep my number, sweetie...you can call me any time.

Gotta go get 2 checks for dad and put them in the bank. Apparently, when I DID get to sleep, I fell? Don't remember, but my left hand is really swollen and very painful...sigh. Can move my fingers, barely, but no palpating the bones to see if anything feels funny as it hurts to just touch the skin. Wish I had xray vision.

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

Uh, Amy? You live in Georgia - think spider bite, particularly brown recluse spider bite. Please say you aren't going to be stubborn and ignore it. We know what those kind of spider bites can do. Love you, TPA

sorry but i love ya'll. thanks TPA, for thinking of that possibility, cause it could be.
think you would remember falling amy, unless you sleepwalk.

Take it from a gal who lost a toe to a brown recluse bite, don't leave it unattended by a doctor!

It's not a bite..when I woke up there was dried blood on my hand, a few scratches and it feels like I fell down and bent all the fingers waaaaaay back, as it's the knuckle area that's more sore.

Got an ace wrap on it just had ice on it. Don't know how effective I will be at work, tonight, but will give it a go. Yesterday, Elvis hissed/swatted at Mots, Mots jumped under my feet and I about hit the floor then. The one sleep med I takes makes me hungry, and I'll get up to get something to eat and have no clue of it until I see a dish on my bed. Maybe I need to put a seatbelt on my bed

BTW(((Kirby))) - I looked at (((Jay's))) texts again, and they DID come through at 12:36 a.m., but for whatever reason I didn't hear them..will turn the volume up. I don't get many texts, so forget to check if I have any, but that has changed.

The company that sent dad to CA has already paid him, so I just went and got the check and put it in the bank for him.

Now, I'm sleepy again and have to be at work in 2-1/2 hours. Depending on who's the mgr, I may or may not be sent home if I can't do everything they want me to. Need the money, but am in no mood for any aggravation!

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

Glad to hear it's not a bite, Amy. My husband was bitten by one of those brown suckers in Ohio and it was ugly. Then, in Georgia, the kid across the street got a bite. I've heard some sleep meds cause a form of sleep-walking. Anyway, glad to hear it's not the bite of the dreaded brown recluse. TPA

Can we get back to business posting while we wait word from Kirby how Jay is doing.

Wow, so much to read. Were do I start.

(((Amy))) I’m glad to hear that your Dad made it to his destination safe and got some well needed rest. I’m glad he had uncle Roy to ride with him. I hope Stepmom gets her Medicare situation taken care of. I’m happy to hear everything went smoothly with the stores. I had expensive Georgia peaches this morning, they were delicious. By the way isn’t NASCAR coming your way soon? Are you going? Our favorite driver Mark Martin should be racing that day.

(((Norty))) Always good to hear from you, sound like your in a better mood, frame of mind. A little levity. Since you been consoling yourself with CANDY for a week now, and if you take Med suggestion and find a man that is good with his tools, you can go around singing that song by Sammy Davis Jr…The candy man can…lol

(((Med))) Make sure your inner voice is always saying the right things, drowning out the itch and yearning to use. One minute at a time, one day at time. Say it to yourself every moment and take little actions which reinforce it, which will keep you on track. I'm proud of you.

(((TOD)) I’m not sure what kind of operation hubby is having. If it’s a torn meniscus he should be back on his feet the same day with minimal discomfort. Poor hubby, I understand the anticipation that must be going through. Like your poor neighbor losing half his leg due to a knee replacement. I had so many feelings/thoughts before the operation going through my mind. The day before my operation I actually went out and bought my favorite food in the world. Sorter my last meal on earth if I didn’t make it through the operation. Of course my thoughts and prayers to hubby that everything turns out alright.

(((Lenina))) Its so nice to hear you and hubby have a very good relationship. Reading your post on your relationship with hubby reflects your true heart and kindness.

(((Chicory))) Your so right, you are as young as you feel. These days I feel like am 66 instead of 56 that I am...lol

(((TPA))) Thoughts and prayers going your way.

(((Freedom1990))) Hugs to you.

Hugs to all the Hens and Roosters.

((((Hens&Roosters)))))

I have accomplished very little today. I need to get ready for work tomorrow night. I'm distracted and anxious. The cats are laying low today. I think they feel my anxiety and are just staying in their cool spots.

I have some reading I'd like to finish but can't focus enough.

Well, that's my day. LOL Still sending prayers for our ((((Jason)))).

Much love to all

Lenina

Today has been exhausting. Had early shopping trip this am to take advantage of sales for school. Daughter needed some jeans and a shirt or two. Made it back home to get on the road to my regular dentist and it was supposed to be a consult about what fun stuff he has planned for my teeth. While I was there I told him about the tooth problems and he took a look and said.. My word no wonder you're hurting, you have an exposed root and jawbone on the tooth next to the extraction. I knew something evil was going on next door all along. He told me I would have to wait on granulation tissue to fix it....it's like a mini dry socket problem or as he called it... a "denunded root" I think he made that up. He did file down some pointy edges with his trusty drill ( I can't help this sounds porno now) and fixed up the bottom crown so that my bite hit better. I love my regular dentist man he's wonderful. He told me I was no wuss and had reason to be screaming in pain.

I'm on the over the counter tylenol and ibuprofen, it doesn't really touch the problem but it's all I'm doing to deal with the problem of pain. I don't crave the pills which is good. Had not even crossed my mind to want one for fun ... pain maybe but fun no and so time will heal it all up.

Went to the car buy about my car in the shop, ran around town with my mom in the heat helping her with errands and then came home to run around some more with my family. I 'm whipped.

Lenina.... hoping whatever is making you antsy that it goes away..... I get that way frequently... and I have books I can't read, movies I can't watch.. just not enough focused attention in me to get on with it. Be safe. We love you.

TB thanks for words of wisdom.

Amy whatever is going on with the hand hope it heals up. I have never slept walked but that would be scary. Hope the job is agreeable tonight. Hugs.

TOD hope you're doing good, staying safe gee stomping on rattle snakes... I can't get over you... you're strong woman and crazy lol.... no stomping on poisonous snakes. You must live in the wilderness. Glad you did not get bit.

I love all of you (((chicory)))) (((((40T)))))(((((Norty)))))((((TPA))))) and I'm hoping our Jay is doing better today. I've thought of him all day long and hoping he's mending. HUGS and Prayers for him... and Kirby.

it's not over yet... Sue called a minute ago after Jason had a weird spike in his heart rate, blood pressure, and brain activity despite being sedated. she said doctors are controlling it but don't know what it is as it doesn't quite fit with a non-convulsive seizure, and he was put on anti-seizure medication after the first surgery. me and ken (and monica, ken and sue's daughter) are going back to the hospital.

please no more complications jay...
