Just sending a :ghug3 to my favorite Ninja!
I was at Toys R Us yesterday and there was a hamster dressed up like a ninja that sang a song "kung fu fighting", danced and swang a little stick around. I thought of you. It made me smile, like you always do. Keep on truckin, Art!

Tuesday turned into an all day affair. My Aunt has shingles. I feel really bad for her because she is in excruciating pain and there really isn't anything I can do. They gave her something for pain but it seems to be only taking the edge of a little. it is hard to see someone you love hurt.
We were at the doctor's for a long time and then had problems at the pharmacy.
Then running around getting things done for her put me home about 9:30 last night. My dog always greets me like I have been gone for years, even if I am only gone 20 minutes, so that was comforting.
Wednesday was really dark and gloomy and blah.
Took the dog for a walk...well I walk fast she has one speed, extra fast, so she runs.......at the golf course.
Then I tackled the Mall. That really stressed me out so I came home and jumped on chat and that helped calm me down.
I had a lot of Beast Activity last night. I wanted away from the cold and dark. I just tried to distract myself and not engage.
Today the sun is supposed to shine....waiting...waiting....come on sun you can do it!!
I am going to attempt to make some Christmas presents. This could turn out well or look like something from romper room.

Hi all. It is snowing here and while I am not a huge fan a little bit will be nice for Christmas. 
We had a very bad storm yesterday and power was out for about 20,000 people. Not sure where the number stands now.
I had to take my Aunt back to the doctor because she still wasn't doing well. She has shingles and the medicine they gave her was not touching the pain. The weather was horrendous and I had to detour several times as trees were down in the roads.
Also the traffic lights were not working. So I was already a little uptight when I got to her house and the battery in her vehicle was dead!!!
She is not very mobile and my car is lower to the ground than hers. She would not even attempt to get into my car and we didn't have time for Triple A. I had to call my father, which is her next door neighbor, for jumper cables. They don't speak since my parents- My Aunt is my Mom's sister- got divorced. It's crazy and immature but it is what it is. So anyway big tense scene about me getting help from him but really??? Grow up people. With the lights out and detours we were already running late for the doctor and I didn't have many options.
I waited an hour at the doctors and she comes out and says they told her she is having a heart attack and to go to the ER across the street.
That didn't make any sense to me but I pushed her in the car and we went across the street to the ER.
The final result was she had a problem with her pacemaker and it wasn't a heart attack. That was the end result...after test after test after test.
It was just such a long day. Her original doctors appointment was at 10:45 and I didn't get back to my house until about 8:30 last night.
So I am tired and kind of cranky today. I will get a good nights sleep tonight and snap out if tomorrow so I can finish up some Christmas gifts.

Just keep repeating art, THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
Tough times will come up but sooner or later it will pass. And you'll find that over time you will become more appreciative of your sobriety when tough times do hit.
You'll be grateful more and more that you were sober when handling each crisis.

Hello All!!!
Ninja camp is buried in snow!!! I am not sure of the actual amount but it is somewhere around a foot.
I hope you all had a great holiday. Mine was good. I have just done a ton of running around trying to take care of things my Aunt needs.
Yesterday was the perfect excuse to not go anywhere as the roads were not safe. I am hoping for a few more hours reprieve while they clean up the roads and then I am off and running again.

Thank you all for your love and support. You have gotten me through some tough times!!
It's been a long day....kind of too tired to write.... Aunt is still sick and now my Mom has come down with the flu so I did a lot of running around today....and you all KNOW how much I love going in stores.

I tend to tell myself "just get past this little moment in time"
Before I know it, it's several hours later and I breathe a sigh of relief because I'm going to bed, sober.
I know the next morning there will be no pain, no throwing up, no running to the bathroom because my stomach is so upset. None of it.
Because I managed to get through my tough time and I stayed, sober. You can do it!!
