CG and Kitty keep this in your mind. If you smoke you are going to want to quit again and again and again and again. This can be the last time. Quitting smoking can't kill you like alcohol. Push through it. I promise you will start to feel better. Keep checking in.

Check out and read some of the www.whyquit.com info. It is very motivating.

Hello! New to this group! Quit both smoking and drinking at the same time last Sunday! I'm on Wellbutrin and it seems to be working for both addictions so far! We'll see how everything goes! I feel a little better already!

Hi countrygirl. I know the first day is rough! But trust me those cravings go away! Each day you don't smoke your cravings lessen! You are almost thru with this day! You never have to do this day over again! Stay quit and move on to day 2. Whatever it takes....get thru to day 3 and that was the day I found relief! After that it was easy! I no longer had those really strong cravings!they pop in from time to time..but gone within a few minutes!

If you choose to smoke again..then you will have to do it all over again. Because let's face it! We are all going to have to quit at some point or face an early death! Those are the two choices we have! To smoke or to die an early death.

I chose to live a longer life! I'm so happy I did! Life is too precious to throw it away for a stinky cancer stick!

If the cravings get too strong. Go take a nap or a shower/bath. Post on here! We are here for you.so reach out! You are not alone!

welcome to the group yacine!

CG - like LI says, do something, change your environs and taking a bath or something is always helpful, even a strong cup of tea, hang in there...
