This is day 2 for me. I hear the first 27 are the hardest - lol.

Taking Welbutrin for a month from yesterday, have craving plans in place (exercise, games, hot tea, carrots, gum), Cessation Nation app on my phone linked to Achievmint, and hate it enough to stay quit this time.

firebolt you can do this. The crying nicotine baby inside us will never shut up if we keep giving rewarding it for crying. You will start to feel better. I have almost 50 days and feel really good.

Thanks - That's giving me some hope! I have left over vape fluid, left over patches, and leftover nicotine gum (leftover from the last 452 times i've "quit") and i'm staying the hell away from all of it. I JUST WANT IT OUT OF ME FOREVER!!! Can't wait to be where you are. Thanks for the inspiration!

day 24 -- so I 3 more days of the hardest?

firebolt, I went cold turkey, no aids no nothing but my desire to quit. The first few days (week) were rather difficult - definitely going through withdrawals... as the days added up they are less and less as far as cravings, but definitely still there. I just refuse to ever use again. No matter what. you can do it!

Day 49 now no smokes. I quit cold turkey too firebolt have tried other methods in the past but they didn't work for me. It's kinda like ripping off an elastoplast fast as opposed to slowly, it's initially more painful but is over and done with faster. I'm feeling really good not struggling or craving at all really which is just great as during quits in the past I've craved a lot of the time.

Day 3!!

Yeah I tossed all the gum and patches and handed the vape over to the BF last night. I just don't even want to be tempted - day 3 and the nicotine should be mostly out of my body - NO MORE is coming back in. Cravings are there, but manageable - I can probably thank the Welbutrin for that. Doc says to taper off the Welbutrin 27 days after my quit date, so I assume most of the physical / mental addiction is in will-power managed remission at that point?

Day 50 right there with ya Peace.
My cravings now are few and far between. When I do get them they are more like a whisper than a scream.

Lbrain awesome on 24.

firebolt "I JUST WANT IT OUT OF ME FOREVER!!!" exactly! I got so tired of wanting to quit and get this stupid drug out of my system I just said I'M DONE. Don't forget that it is a whole lot easier to resist a craving than give into it and have to start the whole process over again. Keep strong!

day 25 here, I am still getting cravings --- one would think not, but I have 30 years of doing this to undo... according to your doc firebolt, I have 2 days left of cravings. is that right?

ai - your quit date say 9/30/14 - day 24? make this your last time and fix that quit date
mine was 1/26/15

Yes firebolt you can do this! We all have! I'm at 33 days already! Time does go by quickly and before you know it you will no longer be craving! Your doctor is correct for the most part at least for me. Like someone said here my cravings are like a whisper now too. That was you peace right? They were screaming that first week and especially the first 3 or 4 days! I was craving every few minutes! You are already past the worst of it now! Like Gettingsmarter said if you go back now it would be so not worth it! You would have to go through those three days all over again! Stay strong! Brian you are doing great!

Day 4 for me!

L-Brain - 27 days to form new habits. I don't know about the cravings, I hope they mellow out for you soon!

My no smoking app says all of the nicotine is out of my system now. WHOOHOO! After meals and driving are painful for me right now, but other than that I'm ok. A little bit ravenous with my appetite when the Welbutrin wears off, but I like carrots, so that's ok for now....even though I can eat a pound of them in a sitting....yikes.

woops - 142 days is fantastic ai,
I have discovered Andes chocolate mints. In the green wrapper. They need to make them bigger cause it would save me from having to open ten in a row every time I pass through the kitchen.
