I've quit for about a month a half now and even picked up running. I was really close to smoking one the other day. But after a few minutes of thinking it through the cravings went away. I told myself what if they ever happened with me and my DOC. Am I going to take back my will and do "just one"? But I feel good about not smoking.
Keep it up!
Welcome to the cub czarzki2. You can do this!! It helps to just take it little pieces at a time, especially at first. Just tell yourself that you won't smoke this minute, hour, day or whatever amount of time works for you. Little chunks are doable and they add up to make the big chunks.
24 more for me!!
I found having a good attitude about quitting really helped me in the early days. I am thankful not to worry about giving myself cancer or a host of other diseases and I am thankful to live without the need to have to smoke all the time.

Thank you DG0409 and Alysheba for your encouraging words and your support. Both of which I lack in my life. I'm looking forward to checking in daily and participating in the various discussions.
I wish everyone well today!
Another 24 for me in the Quad Cities!
