I didn't make it the other day. But today I'm doing it! I've got 24 hrs nicotine free at 8:00 pm. This is my first 24 in 2 1/2 years! This is probably the hardest thing I've done in my life! Harder than pills! I read the book that was on here and it helped. I doubt I'd have gotten as far as I had without it!

I'm hooked on cigars again.

I've been smoking with my husband, or at social gatherings at our house. Cigars make my throat sore and give me those painful little bumps on my tongue. So far, those effects are only temporary; but the other day I coughed up some stuff and it was slightly brown!

So I need to give cigars up for good.

I'm in for 24.

Another 24 please! This is day four no nicotine at all! Gilmer I used to smoke menthols at one point and they caused those bumps and itchy feeling in my throat.

I'm heading into day 5 in about 9 minutes! Yay! Hoot hoot! I can't believe I be gone this! Not something I ever thought I could do! Was sure I would die a smoker! The cravings are so strong though....they litterly knock me over with anxiety! Such a crazy feeling....like I'm depriving myself of something it needs to survive! Weird! When in ll truth it's not something I need to survive....but something I need to stay away from if I want to survive! Like the opposite! I'm thinking if I were to take a puff, I'll bet it would make me sick! Probably make me throw-up! I need to keep that in mind!

Of course I smoked cigars cause I had to have more than one thing to crave as sick as I am.

And playing the better than less than game, I looked down my nose at those smoking cigarettes, because like Jimmy Carter I was not inhaling the smoke only he was referring to pot.

I don't drink, smoke, or cheat on my wife. My present craving is sugarfree ricola.

Not bad trying to get good but sick trying to get well.

Another 24 please! I've made it over 5 days now! Can't believe it! But sooo happy about it! Now I can go anywhere and I do not have to make sure I have my cigarettes! When I quit pills (opies and benzos) 2/12 I thought not carrying my pill bottle around liberating....but this is even more so!

Way to go Clean!! It's so worth it to do this and it gets so much easier, I promise. The cravings will pass... whether or not you smoke. So, go with the not smoking route.

((Clean)) of course Im cheering for you. I know u can do this, and I feel your excitement and joy in the posts! I couldnt figure out why I wasnt hearing from u as much until you said you were used to smoking and being online. Now I understand! You can work on that more later, for now just keep focused, and do other positive things for yourself.
