Avoidance of Controversy! Something to positively avoid!
Always appreciate the positive nature of this thread, Vic.
I'm going to avoid thinking for awhile and return to the gardens to harvest lettuce on this, another gorgeous spring day. Sounds delightfully simple. Keep it simple. I've got a LOT to learn in that department.

I appreciate so very much the title of this thread, "We Refuse to Give Up!!!" Reading through the "popular" posts of today I'm reminded of the critical importance of WILLINGNESS in working towards recovery. No-one can do that for us, our minds and our lives are our own, to choose to do with what we will. It's also a free choice to disregard what others are saying, or choose to overlook just how profoundly one person does affect another. Help and insight and even love surrounds and abounds, but unless one is willing to reach out for it and accept it AND freely give it in return, it's remains unclaimed, and unappreciated. I appreciate you Vic. And so many here.

Am I in a bad mood nope but that is what I heard from a counselor today Whatever! Made me think of this one time when I was in self pity here and I replied whatever and T4C said that isn't nice I wouldn't let me kids talk like that. Made me respond the same way today.....

Well Vic....I hope you're feeling a lot better today.
I'll tell you how I am today, feeling a lot better inside, not hurting so much, the mental part has slowed down somewhat....I hope it does with you too. Yep that thinking thing loves to toss in places WE just don't need to be.
Anyway take some deep breaths, welcome the new day in with gratitude, I did, life's not so easy at times, so why make it harder when there's no need, a reminder for myself today also. So today we learn to lighten up a little more ok? Are you with me on this? I hope so....gotta dance more Vic, put on some good music, grab Chance and get dancing, I do with my lil Joey, he loves it the little mite, it may look silly but we don't care, it really lifts your spirits.

Thanks everyone yes it is going to be a lovely day today. Just waking up this morning, really late but that is OK. Was starting to get into my stinking thinking and then remembered that I am not suppose to think. Grateful, gratitude, yes have to stay in that mode. OK here we go another day to remember
