Thanks Mags
I’m in for a sober weekend too.
Friday morning and day 6 this time around.

I’m OFF the stupid roundabout now and I’m NOT getting back on. Fullstop.

I’ll need to peel some more layers off my onion self....

I love the onion analogy! I often describe my recovery as like peeling an onion. Every time I peel a layer, there's another one waiting to be revealed.

Good to see you Samantha, 5 weeks YaaaY

Willow, good for you! Good to see you.

Hi 2ndhandrose, I felt the same with peeling the layers too. Recovery is a good road to remove the layers.

Morning everyone.

I am still looking for my nothingness.

Coming up on starting day 2 no alcohol. I’m in the worst brain fog of my life and trying to navigate through it but also obsessing over it hence being awake at 2:45 am eastern time. I plan on attending a virtual AA meeting at 6:30 am. Just trying something new because at least I can say I’m trying.

Hi Bodhi, good job on day 2. I thought it was marvellous when I had completed the 1st day. The fog does lift.

Kaily, Great poster. I don’t think I’ve got to the nothingness yet either.

Morning Weekenders

Welcome Bodhi and congratulations on day 2. It will get better over the next few days.

Rain, rain, rain, when will it ever cease? I'm looking out the window and the rain is again lashing down. I don't think it has stopped raining for the past 4 days. In parts of the north east it's coming down as snow but here near the coast it's just coming down as rain. As I have to go out it looks like I'm going to get soaked...

At first I thought you had posted 18c then I realised it was -18c. Yes, that IS cold!... I've never encountered a temperature as low as that. About a decade ago it got down to -12c in my locality and that was cold enough for me. It is forecast to get down to -5c over the next few days and that seems to be about as cold as it gets around where I live.

My 14-year old cat had to be put to sleep today. I'm going to miss him.

I'm so sorry about your cat, Lixie. Huge hugs from me to you

I don't want to write this but I have to face up to it. I've been struggling with the urge to binge all week and today I just couldn't fight it. I binged AND purged and was not bulimia-free. So day one starts again tomorrow.

Last time I had a good bulimia-free stretch, it took seven years for me to repeat it. Please God not this time.

I hope everyone else is doing well xxxxxx

So sorry to hear about your cat Lixie ❤️

Robbie can you please send us some rain Downunder?
Perth really needs some to put out the fires and we really need some here so the plants can grow.

Saturday morning here and it’s a beautiful day, so I’m off outside to enjoy it
