Awww. Huge congratulations on six years, saoutchik. One of my all-time favorite Weekenders.

There aren't ever too many dancing penguin gifs!

That's really great Sao.

Manta, I hope Dirty Dancing did the trick to lift your spirits. For a pickmeup Swayze movie I would probably go with Roadhouse.

Thanks guys! Only a person in the twilight world of the terminally bewildered quits on 30th Dec. I was in such a bad way I didn't know what day it was.

Cityboy, if Roadhouse was on free download on my subscription I would have watched that also haha. However Dirty Dancing was out when I was a girl becoming a woman so it’s always gonna be no1 for me. I bought the soundtrack album too! x

Reid must be very hard for all the community right now. Sending love and hugs xx

Manta, sorry you’re ‘peed’ off with the virus and everything involved around it. It can be mentally and emotionally challenging. Can you meet your mum for a walk? Or is that out the question, weather wise.
Can you get out the ‘Covid room’ in your head and find another room to visit. In fact I wouldn’t even visit the Covid room, just know it’s there and walk on by.
How about volunteering to talk with people on the phone who are lonely, housebound. just a suggestion.
If you want a phone ‘buddy’ to have a chat, I’m your man...well woman.

As for me and the virus, I treat it like a war. (No I don’t think I’m Rambo) I was paranoid at the beginning trying to find clues for this invisible killer. But realize it’s clever and I never know what corner it’s round. So, I’ve gotta lay low or there’s a chance the enemy will finish me off.
I’ve sort of accepted it. People in the world wars had 4 or more years of it with hardly any food or communication. I’ve got food, the internet thankfully 🙏. I’m in a warm home.
Things could be so much worse.

congrats on six years Sao, that's fantastic.

Now We Are Six - AA Milne

When I was one,
I had just begun.
When I was two,
I was nearly new.
When I was three,
I was hardly me.
When I was four,
I was not much more.
When I was five,
I was just alive.
But now I am six,
I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six now
for ever and ever

stay safe everyone
