lunar, the colors on your Honduran Milksnake are quite vibrant. I admire the care you give to your pets.

It's been a wet duck weekend. I tried to bake a deep pizza tart like dish this afternoon. I forgot an important ingredient called chapelure de pain, which is basically bread crums. You kind of have to put it in to soak up the juice of the tomates. Ah well next time. Hope it wont be too soggy. I think mrs vman told me not to forget it too many times and it was kind of mental Block.

Anyways cooking is a good way to spend a wet sober Sunday afternoon...

The pics :

Missing ingredient notwithstanding, your dish, looks simply delicious, Vman.

Those tomatoes look great VMan.

Captain, it is really plush inside, the main staircase is stunning.

I have to go to Liverpool tomorrow, I have not been to an office outside of London since before the pandemic but we need the work and a socially distanced face to face meeting might help. Normally I would be keen to go, it is many years since I have been there.

Happy travels Sao.

Hope everyone got through the weekend. If you didnt well dont give up. Today is 200 days sober for me. I never thought it was possible. When you finally get sick of being sick, of addiction kicking your a$$, at getting into trouble at every corner I think real change is possible. Only réal profound and committed change works for me. It's not a bargain, not a half hearted affaire I have to stay "connected" to being sober. And dont forget to focus on the positive stuff cause crappy days still happen.

Waffle terminated.

Vinny

Hi everyone
Back from a camping trip. No drinking done by me.
Home safe, tired and in need of a hot shower

A sober weekend away and had some time for some self reflection. 3 weeks sober and feeling optimistic for what the future brings.

Morning Weekenders.

Have a safe trip Sao.

Congratulations on 200 days Vinny. Great going!

I hope you had a great camping trip Willow. And I hope you also had a good weekend away Finallcall.

A weekend sober is great Phil. There's none of that awful hungover Monday morning feeling that I used to dread.

Although I do feel a little drained today but thats because my wife kept wakening me up to tell me to be quiet as I was snoring too loudly. I told her I couldnt hear anything (bad idea right there) so hen she took herself off to the couch in the living room to sleep, so I felt guilty and got up and talked her back into bed but then I started to snore again and she told me I had to go sleep on the couch Ffs. In the end we compromised, I read a book until she was asleep and then I also fell alseep.
It sounds funny now but at 2:30 in the morning it was a right pita.

All good now though

In hindsight at least the snoring was not alcohol induced which It would have been in the past.

Yaay Vinny 200 days

Phil, that’s brilliant . A sober weekend. We’re here all week too.

lunar, your Milksnake is so cute.

I’ve no internet again. I’m using my phone on mobile data but, it’s a bit of a pain. The internet provider blames our wi-fi connections. It’s not as if we’ve got that many.

See you later xx

Not a fan of snakes, but I respect they have a purpose and are God's creatures. My oldest daughter, on the other hand, is a veterinary technician and fosters all types of animals. One time she was fostering a snake and they lost power due to a storm so she put him in her bra 😲 to keep him warm.

P.s. that is a really pretty snake. I saw an albino alligator at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans.

I'm not a fan of snakes either. I can't see the attraction of them but plenty of people do like them as pets.

Mags, are you able to use your mobile phone as a wi-fi connection in order to connect your home computer to the internet (known as tethering)? I've done this before with my mobile and laptop. It's a better way to get on the internet without staring at a small screen for a long time. Not all mobile phones have this as a feature though.

Just a quick bush pic from camping before I head off to bed.
I saw some wildlife (kangaroos and emus) but didn’t get my camera out fast enough to get photos. Just trees and sky
It was a fun trip thanks Robbie, but I’m exhausted. I need a huge sleep zzzzz

I'm terrified of snakes but that's a gorgeous one!
I wish I could see other pictures being posted in this and many other threads but I'm still struggling (months and months later) to get
to 25 posts. :-/

Good morning to you all and I hope to join the next weekend bonanza.
