Morning all.
Happy birthday Midnightblue.
Congrats on 500 days Forwards.
Chrome on my computer, the site looks basically the same as before. No oddball characters.
Venus and Saoutchik, how I would love to have talked to your dads about their service and what they witnessed.
Have a great day all.

Congrats on 500 days Forwards.

Happy Birthday Midnight! And congratulations on 500 days, Forward!
I love your rose picture, N. I am planting a pink rose bush this morning. I love the quotes at the bottom, too. I wrote it in my journal. I got another quote there that I saw somewhere yesterday. "If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there."
I've heard it before, but it really resonated with me.

Forwards, 500 is a good amount of sober days.
Can't wait to hear MLD's comment on the Supreme Court ruling in Wisconsin. I have to admit, I read the US Constitution again when this whole thing started. I have to agree with the WI State Supreme Court. Well done.

Mmmmm. Looks like a difficult subject to discuss without including politics. I would be more interested to hear MLD's comments on doing a Wisconsin cheese tour, which we were planning to do this summer until the pandemic started.
I run a tax business. <div>About 3 months ago a woman dropped off the documents for her deceased father. He had died in 2017 and she was just getting around to filing his final tax returns. She smelled a bit boozy. She looked gaunt and trembled. In short, she had 'the look'. </div><div><br></div><div>She did not drop off all the files I needed to complete her late father's tax return. I have tried to contact her several times. She does not respond to email or voicemail. </div><div><br></div><div>From time to time I see her file in my 'unfinished business' queue. It makes me sad. Maybe I should have tried to reach her that day back in February when she was in my office. 95 times out of 100 I would just make it worse, but there was a small chance I could have made it better, right? Gah!</div><div><br></div><div>I saw that folder this morning, so I came here. If not for Sober Recovery I might be the one missing. The one someone else wonders if they could have reached. Funny ol' world, isn't it?</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Oh, and if you don't like the new forum look, try <br>User CP>>>Edit Options>>>Forum Skin(at the bottom)>>>WOL</div>

Happy Birthday, MB!
Congratulations on 500 days, Forward!
Soberly it Goes! "Each group has but one primary purpose: to carry its message to the alcoholic who still suffers." I chaired a meeting on this topic yesterday. I feel that many of us do not have problems with alcohol per se, but have problems that might lead to alcohol. I believe that an active alcoholic needs help dealing with life problems that have led to alcohol as a solution.
I'm going to try to post a picture of the shellfish farm from where I am unemployed. Those are oyster bags on the rack in the foreground, and there is an eagle in the top of the tree in the background.

So that picture is huge! Glad it wasn't in landscape orientation!
Let me try this. Here's another picture of some oyster bags, and the flat area in the background is where the clams are dug.
