HealthyandSober needs help and support
I'm the same way HAS....I get along with animals better than humans....I'm counting down the days 'til Puppy Bowl on Superbowl Sunday, lol
Glad you are safe with your pups.....have a good meeting and keep us posted

HAS, one big reason I got sober at first and kept it going was my dogs too,
And it isn't strange at all you can love them in a powerful way, sometimes more than humans at times.
They trust you and depend on you--and you can trust them
Right now, please try to build a little trust in yourself.
You're a good and loving person in pain drowning that pain in alcohol.
But you can heal--dump out any booze left and try to eat and get some water down.
What about some one-on-one counseling next week to get some support?
Either through medical or possibly community support programs?
I think posting here frequently and some face-to-face contact with someone would help.
Please don't buy any more alcohol--it isn't helping, only hurting you

Hi Heathy&Sober - I'm just catching up on your thread. I'm so sorry you had such a painful time - hoping you went to your meeting.
I'll send up prayers for you stay strong and get your life back together. There is no doubt you can do it! We care about you, and we are here.

thank you for the overwhelming support i love you all,
i was hospitalize for the second time in the psychiatric ward it happened last year in March and now in January. Again a bunch of pills the doctor said i need to stop drinking to evaluated if i am bipolar or if its just depression.
i as my self do not want this. i do not want to be more of of a freak than i am . i am devastated by the experience devastated and afraid because i feel every time i drinking i want to end my life and one day i will be successful. so many feelings i wish most of all that this was not my life.
my dogs are well i love them the same i just wish i were a healthy human and not a disable one.
feeling sorry for myself big time but grateful i am home. this places are no joke all these stays in hospitals had broken my soul.

HAS there are ,many others of us here who take meds for mental health - like me, and I've been in a psych hospital too.
You;re not a freak anymore than I am or anyone else is here.
I hope that after some time off alcohol you'll start to appreciate yourself again - for the you you are and noone else can be
you're among friends here - welcome back
