That's great news that you are on day 4! I'm really pleased for you 😊 I got to day 5 then fell on my face so back to day 3. I know what you mean about the angry. I've been really pissed off about everything, then crying my eyes out like a toddler! Feel like a bit of a basket case but starting to turn things around. I can't really concentrate on eating just now, or counting days, or having any proper structure. I just want to rest and have some space. I know how important the structure is though, so going to start to focus again tomorrow. Been trying to read a bit about AA. I like it. Really pleased for your day 4 Dusk. Keep it up. We can do it. Gabe x

Hey Dusk. How are you getting on? I'm doing OK. Been off my work since Saturday and no alcohol. Managed to have a really good rest. I think my life balance is a bit better. I'm keeping a bit of a low profile round here but reading posts every day. Thought I would pop my head up and see how you are doing?! Gabe x

Hi Dusk

Not sure the issue is strength - I am a very determined person but willpower did nothing for me is part of my will wanted to drink.

I needed to accept that I couldn't drink if I wanted to avoid all those negative consequences drinking bought with it.

I think you need a better plan that whatever it is your doing.

Have you thought about making an action plan at all?

It's so hard to get past those first few days of cravings. Can you go to a detox or an ER? A doctor can also give you something for withdraws. If there are no meetings near you this site is like an online meeting, there's even a forum for doing the steps. Try and just make it one day. If you can make it one day you can make another.

One day at a time if you fall dust yourself off and try again life is what you make it as long as there is a fight there is a chance I struggle everyday and still giving it another chance
