You guys are helping me feel better.

Mr. P is dozing off now.

I'm about to have broth for dinner.

Highlight of my evening was being escorted to the potty to pee!

Yep. Still have the IV and oxygen mister thing to keep me breathing easily. It's like I'm breathing from a humidifier. The mist helps me not dry out and prevents nosebleed.

Well, I'm glad you are under care and have good pain management. Sleep will be nice tonight. Is Mr. SP pending the night?

Yep, he is. He will probably sleep most of the night. He only had a few hours sleep last because he watched part of the SEC championship game.

I brought some poems and short stories.

My only complaint so far, besides the three jabs for the IV, is that it hurts like hell to swallow.

Broth dinner is going to be a challenge.

Are you typing on your phone, or do you have an iPad or something?

Maybe courage2 will call you and read to you.

Why does it hurt to swallow? Have you seen the surgeon post-surgery? Sorry, you don't have to answer all my questions. I'm sitting here starving (poor me) and trying not to think about food.

I'm on the phone because it's smaller and lighter, but yeah, I do have the ipad.

You're very brave Soberpotamus! Glad you're staying there where you can be monitored. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
(Maybe they can give you something for your throat pain...)

It's fine, Bim. I like the chat. I'm feeling up to it.

Well, it's normal I think. It's all that rearranged stuff down in the lower jaw. Entire area is sore, but I'm only numb at the lower jaw and lower part of face, and lip. Throat isn't numb. So that's probably why. It doesn't hurt so much in the throat as it does all around it. I think it's pulling at the sore areas.

How are you expected to drink broth with a numb tongue?

Nice! That's worth the price of admission, right there. I've never had a private room, there are always roomies. They're usually sick too.

I'm thanking God for a successful surgery!

May it be full and complete.

Rest and heal Potamus.
