And no drinking for me...took a nap instead. Might take another one...I need the escape. I've been reading in the F & F forums to try and get perspective. And I talked about it with a very good friend just to make sure I wasn't going crazy. (I usually keep these legal problems quiet in the f2f world, but no more of that). Nope she said. It's not you....it's him. Ok.

Noteworthy tidbit: There is a weekly chat meeting in the SR chat room 9PM EST on Friday nights.
I have only missed one since my sober date. Sometimes I share, other times I just 'listen'. Just thought I'd share my Friday night festivity plan with the 'Enders. Maybe I'll see you there

No, Brynn, it's not you. I found more freedom for myself when I stopped trying to hide what was going on behind closed doors. Once I started talking about it, I gained in strength. I'm glad you have face to face support

Had a lovely evening. Mrs B brother and his two sons are visiting. Love having visitors. Can't wait to do touristy stuff at the weekend.

So, tomorrow is Friday. What's the plan? I'm going to be cleaning. Saturday, probably more of the same. Sunday is my son's 10th birthday and party. Monday is my last day of vacation.
Being back on familiar turf doing routine things will be comfortable.

Tomorrow I am being sent away to a resort with my two daughters!
My husband has spoken! (This is a very kind and loving gesture to get me unwound from the trauma of my dad's decline and death last month).
The girls and I will luxuriate at the spa and dress for dinner. My younger daughter will insist on straightening and styling my hair, because she will be embarrassed if I go to a fancy restaurant au naturel (the default is a curly mop).
I will be attempting yoga for the first time. My daughters swear I'll "love it!"
I'm a little nervous about the driving--my daughters are nervous about me driving, too (the last time I took a long trip with them, I almost crashed).
I was super-efficient, planning every activity down to the last detail--now I'm almost too nervous to go!

Cool pix, Ruby - thanks for sharing. Sure is strange out there, ostriches and buffalo, rolling hills, and very cool walking paths! I'm guessing the kids loved it and the parents did too. Glad you're getting back to Chicago tonight, that last Indiana stretch is always so darn long! Drive safe, at least you'll miss Chicago rush hour.
Another 'normal' weekend for me planned. Except I have my Fantasy Football draft with my buddies (online of course) on Saturday. Going to be a 2-3 hour affair, I'm sure. My lady friend wants to come over, I said she's welcome to but I'll be in football mode. I remember the old days of getting smashed with this group during the fantasy football draft. One of the "penalties" for taking too long to make your pick was to do a shot! The room would chant "shot", "shot", "shot" to boot. Gee, wonder why I participate online these days instead of in person? About half of the guys are doing so online, while the other 6 get together and drink. Guess who won the league last year? This sober guy, that's who. Thousand bucks I took home.
Been working outside this week. It's been a nice change of pace from my desk inside.

Gilmer, you deserve a spa weekend! That sounds lovely to be pampered. Take care of yourself and let your daughter do you up although I like curly hair. My daughter always says mine looks "funny" and wants it straight. I don't get it. Keep yours curly.
