I just found this thread. Count me in. I've started drinking lots of water, clean eating, and using portion control.
The main thing that I'm doing for my health and weight is not sitting on my behind from 5:30 pm 'til 10:30 pm drinking beer. THEN, eating a fat-laden dinner and going straight to bed! I can't believe I've been doing that to myself. Thank goodness for positive changes.

I'm in! Have been doing 3.5 miles in 30 mins on elliptical for three days now.
Reaaaally starting to feel it. *winces* but it feels good afterward and is a great way to blow off steam and get some much needed sleep at night.
Also, a fantastic way to sweat out the toxins. Lots of showers indeed

Getting my water drinking on....why is it so hard for me to drink water??? Weird...
Logging my calories in MFP....still not drinking! I think I am doing good!!!

2 miles at 3.2, full incline. Felt strong, like I could walk all day. I'm not a water drinker either. 8 oz maybe while walking and 8 after. Saw a 100 day 100 burpee challenge on youtube that looks very effective. May split my 30 min (37 today) routine between the two. Another win today fellow Challengers!
20 ounces of water down, 60 more to go! My sister & I are starting a little circuit workout that we saw on Pinterest on Monday. I need to get moving, my eating is decent (not perfect but way better) but getting off my a$$ is what I need motivation for. I am working on that, friends.
Still work in progress....

I starting drinking iced passion teas from Starbucks. I get the biggest one and ask for no sweetener. That's a great way to get your water in. And it's caffeine free. I also started buying pomegranate juice and lemons. I add a splash of juice and some lemon to a big mug of water and it goes down great.
Just an idea for getting that water in JT!

2 more at 3.3. Not as easy today but I pushed thru. .1 mph faster than yesterday so I'm covered on the challenge part. In 10 days I went from doing .25 mi to 2 mi daily on full incline by adding .25 at a time or upping the speed every day. Progression!

Only did a mile yesterday--said I was going to do 1.5 more in the evening but got busy. I did drink 16oz of water while walking--new record. I'm still anticipating the urge to do burpees falling out of the sky any day now I'm not sure what my aversion is--I've done them in the military and other institutions all my life. Maybe I'll find a video that makes it look oh so fun. What's up with the rest of you challengers? I could use a success story right now.
Your aversion to burpees is most likely burpees!
Lol. They are awful, plain and simple, but they are wonderful to STOP. The way I motivate myself is to think of how good it will feel to STOP doing burpees. Or any other incredibly effective thing like box jumps or thrusters or kettle bell swings.
Start with just ten or even five. Get your momentum going. It gets easier... Just like sobriety.

Ok, somehow I got up to 200 lbs. Don't own a scale. Thought I was 193 3 weeks ago but could be mistaken. Could be the after-dinner-ice-cream-with-tv-and-chips-later habit I've developed in the last 5 months. Anyhoo, I checked on 2 different scales and it weren't a mistake. I'm thinking 190 will be a target for now. I just want to wear the same size pants I have for 20 yrs. w/out sucking in to button them. My point to all this is I wasn't looking at what I eat----now I am. Onward!
I'm in. First week of sobriety I drank lots of water and watched portion control on the food. This second week I am drinking even more water and putting in more excercise. With the weather here in northern Illinois the eliptical is key.
Great thread!
