Well done, the first couple of days always seemed the worst for me but once you get those out of the way you will settle.
Congratulations.

Smile Wow!

Sober since August !!!! I hope the cravings for alcohol get easier at some point! There are certain times of the day that are really hard right now. I hope I can join you and stay sober!!! Thanks for your encouragement.

Thanks, Gilmer. It's 11:36 a.m., here, and this is one of those moments when I crave the poison that was killing me, but the cravings will go away if I get real busy. Thanks for your encouragement.

You ROCK, Hamartia!!!! There are bound to be some ups and downs, but, when you look back over the long haul it just keeps getting better.

My best to you on your sober journey.

I am so glad to see you back and engaged in the battle. You are the best! I was worried when I didn't see you for a couple days. I am soooo Happy!!!!! You deserve a great life and to be happy and free of poisons and hangovers and guilt and all the other ickky stuff that comes with the alcohol. I have a huge smile on!!!

PickleMan, I know what you mean -- feeling like crap! The cravings are so hard for me to get beyond, but I am so very glad to be free of that poison for three whole, blessed days! No more sneaking around, hiding small bottles in the closet, or not being able to remember the conversation I had with someone the night before. I have started referring to the poison as (Pardon my language here) "**** in a bottle." (I hope I don't get in trouble for that.) It's all moment by moment, isn't it? Stay strong, PickleMan!

My DOC was Heroin so my w/d's are probably a tad bit more severe but with less of the cravings that you are having

I do have some cravings here and there but I am mainly just trying to get myself healthy

Well, today is technically the start of Day 5 for me.. 12:31am

counting the days helps but really is that what keeps us sober? I'm starting to think it's just about bringing it back to just for today, I will refuse to be seduced by chemicals.
I lost the concept of a day by napping and late night tv so that is why I bang on about a day at a time but all in all having a to do list for the day headed with I will remain sober, is where I'm at now. In theory at least. To boil it down, what do I want to do today if I am myself? I'm going to start a blog to list those wants, My TO DO TODAY list. Take care and forget about judgement, just be loved. Lots of love, Phil.
