Newcomers Sober Weekender Thread!!! Oct 10-12!
Ah!!! The weekend home for those who find the time between Thursday evening and Sunday evening to be the most challenging in living a sober life.
Last weeks thread was amazing. We had so many new faces. Let's keep that going. Living sober takes some practice. Get your sea legs here!

It's only noon here on Thursday and I'm already committing to being on the bus this weekend. I actually got into a car accident on Sunday and am recovering still. I'm ok...but not feeling great so the weekend is going to be a lot of rest, movies, tea, and some good eats hopefully.
Looking forward to hearing what everyone else has planned!

This is a holiday weekend here in Canada so even more to think about...
For myself I'll be cooking a big turkey dinner for my 3 kids and enjoy spending time with them...which is only possible because today I am sober

I am excited for the weekend. I get to babysit my 3 grandsons tomorrow night and Saturday night my whole family is going out for pizza to celebrate my birthday. I turn 50-something on the 12th. hehe
It was not too long ago I babysat for the 3 boys with my husband while sneaking hits of vodka in the kitchen. The next day I realized I had blacked out for the entire duration. Nobody knew but I couldn't remember a thing. I never want to do that again. My times with those kids are few and far between, not being able to remember the fun just plain sucks.
Happy sober weekend to all my SR family! I love you all.

5 months! whoot hoot!!!! wow. time sure flies!!
A weekend filled with food! It's our Thanksgiving long weekend.
I have a meal with my family Saturday and a huge meal with the BF's family on Monday.
Good to have Sunday in between to rebuild the appetite. I think I may need to be rolled into work come Tuesday

Congratulations to those with hours, days, weeks or months … no matter how far along on the journey we are i's the same road we're on .. we all get there by getting through today ..
Thursday night here in the uk , just got home from work … yupp still in the temporary job … the phone has gone off and i'm going back in .. thought i'd made myself prohibitively expensive , seems i was wrong ..

Just in from work, squeeze over and gimme a seat!!
I'm off work this weekend, it's been a while since I didn't have to get up early on a Saturday, then have an ice hockey game on Saturday evening, which as always really looking forward to, I think a relaxing weekend overall is on the horizon.
Chilling out this evening is definitely on the cards, gonna have a rumage in the kitchen shortly, see what I can rustle up!!

Count me in gang. Have to travel alone for meeting Saturday. Is generally an overnight thing, but don't want to do that just yet. Is about 4 hours away, so gonna be up and gone by 4:00am and drive back afterwards. Plan to check in here on any breaks. Otherwise gonna hang out here a lot with y'all for rest of weekend....really helped last week. Second sober weekend coming up and feeling good.
