Hi, guys. I am just checking in from the class of October 2013. We are a strong, emotionally close class and two of us have already reached our one year sober anniversaries! Stay together. Use each other for comfort and accountability. Check in here daily. You will be come each other's rocks. My best to all of you. Give this everything you have got. I never knew life could be so good.

Hi classmates. I am in for October!
I did o.k. I guess in Sept., but ended up drinking about 3 times since my first official "quit date" of Sept. 15, so I am back on Day Two today.
If I can get through this entire month without a drink I will celebrate ........ by not having a drink of course!

I have manged 4 out of 7 days last week and 5 out of 7 days the week before I was going strong until today last drink Saturday night so day 4 for me, starting to get some urges today but home safe no alcohol at home so I will not drink tonight but tomorrow is a whole other ball game have visitors and never got through it sober even though only one of the 3 drink.

I back. I failed have been getting so smashed and woke up today saying something has to change. Life can't go on like this anymore. I am ruining my life and running from my problems. Today is the day I want to change my life for the better! It has been a hard day shaking and feeling urges but I have to be strong and will use SR to make it thru this.

I'm in .. day 3 here, it's going well. Already cleared more off my 'to do' list than I have managed in months. I drink in the evenings so this is when I need to distract myself and make changes. SR is great as ever. First for me to join a class, I think this may be it! I am absolutley sick to death of alcohol, the impact on my health, my bank account and my life. Here's to October and beyond, thanks for having me x

I want to join this group! I know I've been in the other group already, but... I'm closer to actually quitting, now. I hope. Is it ok for me to be here?
Also, October is one of my most favourite months ever. So. I have many reasons to be sober for it!!

I drink in the evenings too now and again earlier on Saturdays or Sundays.
Evenings are when I need to plan things to distract me though and if possible not let emotions become a trigger that's any emotions good or bad my av is an expert at turning any event into a drinking event.
