I HAD A GREAT DAY TODAY.I SPENT MY ANNIVERSARY WITH SUE AND HER SON SCOTT.WE HAD A COOKOUT AND PLAYED BASEBALL BETWEEN THE RAINDROPS.I WENT TO MY AA MEETING TONIGHT WHERE I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO SEE A WOMAN PICK UP HER 10 YEAR MEDALION AND A MAN GET HIS 18 YEAR MEDALION.JUST AN AWESOME MEETING.TOPPED OFF BY A BEAUTIFUL FIREWORKS DISPLAY A FEW MILES DOWN THE ROAD.THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT WATCHING A CHILD LOOK INTO THE SKY IN AMAZEMENT.
GOD'S PUTTING HIS OWN AWESOME DISPLAY OF FIRE IN THE SKY RIGHT NOW HERE IN RICHMOND.I LOVE A THUNDERSTORM.I'M JUST SO HAPPY TO HAVE MY LIFE MAKE SUCH A TURN-AROUND.GOD HAS REALLY BLESSED ME.

funny how God's blessings to one person turn into a blessing to so many others. people are blessed just by seeing your recovery and enthusiasm for the program and life. i have read many of your posts and am thrilled with your success and continued support for all of these people you care about. sound like you had a lovely 4th, you certainly deserve it. BTW, how long have you been sober now?

TWO WEEKS TODAY,LIZZIE.I'VE HAD SOME TIME BEFORE,BUT THIS TIME IS ALOT DIFFERENT.IT'S HARD TO EXPLAIN,I JUST GAVE UP,ASKED GOD TO HELP ME CAUSE MY WAY WAS KILLING ME.I'M GOING TO ALOT OF AA MEETINGS,REACHING OUT AND ASKING FOR HELP.MY EGO KEPT ME FROM DOING THAT FOR ALONG TIME,YOU KNOW I'M A MAN,I DON'T NEED HELP.HA.
MY WAY DOESN'T WORK,DOING THINGS DIFFERENT NOW.FEELS REAL GOOD.

ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT!I WAS JONES'N FOR SR BAD THIS MORNING.I WAS GETTING FRUSTRATED THAT I COULDN'T GET THE SITE TO COME UP.NOT SO LONG AGO I WAS CRAVING ALCOHOL N DRUGS,TODAY I'M CRAVING RECOVERY.

so proud of you ted. takes a lot of strength and courage to fight back after falling down. love reading your posts and seeing your enthusiasm. so very true about the addiction to recovery. only thing that keeps me going most days. fighting withdrawal right now and hoping to make it sober another day. day 7 today. one whole week for me. c an't believe it :shocked1: keep up the good work. you and sue deserve it.audra

Ted,
poor guy my dad is a welder and i don't know how ya'll do it. especially in this heat. gald to see everything is good. must be a great comfort to have a sponsor to talk to when needed. i have a huge problem with criticism. learned it from my mom and grandpa. almost very judgemental. working on that. being here and seeing how supportive and loving everyone is helps me to practice that away from the boards. thanks for all of the teaching i am getting, you have a lot to share.
