Hi All!

The most amazing full moon this morning, floating in a bit of fog, made for a great start to the weekend!
It reminds me to stop and take a breath and enjoy the little things in life!

Hope everyone has a great, sober weekend!

I'm in too.

Day 10, weekend number 2.

I have been loving my sober, lovely nights of sleep and the mornings have been better than ever.

Haven't had a craving yet, but they always seem to creep up on me between days 10-20, so I will be happy to check in with all of you this weekend.

I know we can all do this.

Poppies

I second that. Got out for an early run in the mountains and it was gorgeous. I had the same feeling, "stop and enjoy the little things in life."

I'm in but facing a really tough weekend. Leaving this afternoon for a music festival that I'll be playing this weekend but will have pregnant wife and 1 year old with me in our own cabin at the festival site. Stocking up on lots of soda and non alcoholic drinks, good food, and going to really focus on the music and nature. The cabin will be my safe place to run to when things start getting late...and bringing the laptop to catch up on Walking Dead and Parks and Rec. So that's my plan, still nervous because I'm only on Day 8 and know how quickly my mind loves to say, Aw $%#& it! But I will not let it get the best of me. Will check in here regularly this weekend. Cheers and stay strong.

Count me in! It's my first one, but I know I can do it. I'm staying home under blankets and watching movies, and I plan to dig out my Rational Recovery book to do some reading. Looking forward to a great sober weekend.

Olive & Ethos... sounds great! weather here is mild and brilliant sun. Such a great fall day.

Poppies... I know you can do this too!

River... sounds like you have a good plan. Be nervous.... I found I needed those nerves to keep me alert. That does subside but at day 8 you rock! Enjoy the family.

Little S... there is nothing wrong with retreating to the covers. Its do what ever needs to be done and allow your body to adjust. Do you have support and a plan for after this weekend?

Stay with us on this thread. I use this as a way to make it through many times.

Welcome.

Weasel,

Great points by you! You're correct, planning, certainly when you're doing something different is imperative. We think that we'll be busy with change and then, bam the drunk hornet stings us. Visualizing and planning our weekends and/or days really helps.

Thanks!

It is day one for me today, I am determined to stay sober this weekend. I'm making a big steak dinner for my family tonight, tomorrow night we are going to a huge bonfire with a bunch of friends (it is an alcohol free bonfire!), and on Sunday I plan to take my kids on a hike.

Have a wonderful sober weekend everyone!!

I'm up for a sober weekend! Started out tonight with inviting my friend over and we chatted for about 4 hours and he left just half an hour ago. Almost midnight now. Almost bedtime, if I can fall asleep that is, haha!

I stocked my fridge with OJ, apple juice, cranberry juice and V8, I also have lemons and limes to put in ice water and lots of tea. I love having something non alcoholic in my hand to drink.
