I don't know what you have tried other than AVRT, I was just suggesting that it might take some more drastic measures. Counseling perhaps? AA? Outpatient or Inpatient? Losing an entire month is pretty serious business. Glad to hear you have a sober day today though...you have put several together before.

LG...I think everyone has a "witching hour"....what ELSE can you do during that time? Romanticizing a drink is soooooo common. I did it every time I relapsed. Talked to a good friend just yesterday who has been fighting the fight for years now. It was noon and he was going to go to the store to get a bottle of wine. Drinking 2 bottles a day, but says he wants to quit. When I asked how much he had drank so far yesterday, he said, "Nothing". So...I said, "Why don't you make today Day 1?" The response? "Well, maybe tomorrow"....He says when it rolls around 4-5 o'clock, he REALLY wants a drink to end the day and just relax. He has an attitude of "I deserve this reward" (even though he is retired)....so, I guess it just takes what it takes for us to WANT sobriety MORE than we want that drink.....be well....
