Where are people from if I can ask
Cool, fun game, let's see...
Born in Portchester, NY; raised in Manhatten, NYC until 14ish; then Hemet, CA (near LA) through HS; back to Queens, NY through first 2 years of college; Stony Brook, NY (on LI) through college; Ann Arbor, MI through grad. school; back east to settle in NJ. Been here since '82.
Hey Pipparina, I was just in the city, downtown on Tuesday. I was near City Hall and saw the new Freedom Tower going up at the Trade Towers site. Brought back some sorry memories but very cool to see it. Looked to me like 70ish stories now and still rising.

Hey Waynemali, I'm about 30 mins. from Newark myself. Newark, NJ :-)
Worked with a bunch of folks from endland and Holland a few years ago. A NYer like myself's gotta love that British accent; just brilliant :-)
Now that I think about, I spoke briefly with a chap from Manchester when I was in Manhatten on Tuesday. Asked him if the building going up a few blocks away was the Freedom Tower. He replied, "Not sure mate; I'm from Manchester, England; but I think so."... Love that accent :-)

That Manchester accent is a good one, they all try to sound like Liam & Noel from the band Oasis.
Unfortunately we here in Newark don't really have an accent, it more what we say than how we say it.

"Best Coast", InParticular?, LOL, got to agree. I was a short boat ride away from your neck of the woods once. Took the ferry up from Seattle. My mom (she was born in OK Kaehot) wanted to go see Butchart Gardens near Victoria.
LOL, SDSurfn. My daughter wants to go to school there. Mostly, I think, because I've told her the weather is near perfect. As far as I could tell, just like Hawaii; 80ish pretty much year round. NJ weather, on the other hand, SUCKS!
