The don't seem to have as many concerts in Portland as they used to; a lot of them are in Bangor, now. We've had winters so cold that we could skate on our river, that hardly ever freezes over. Looking forward to snow, Christmas lights, and hot chocolate.

Portland was a neat city. The great thing about Biddeford Pool was you lived in the country but could drive to the city and if you wanted to see a Red Sox or Celtic game you could drive to Boston...

I don't know if I'd call the pool "country", but it is a little quieter than Portland. I am looking forward to the time when I can retire someplace more northern in Maine. I'm in the country now, but nowhere's near far enough out in the woods for me.

It most certainly is nice and quiet in Maine. Other than the outrageous taxes, I'm gad I live here.

The beautiful Palmetto State. Best state in the union. You couldn't pry me out of SC with a 10 foot crowbar and a truck load of grease. I split my time between the foothills of the Southern Appalachian Blue Ridge and one of the sea islands in the low country.
