Mine said something similar that I won't have anymore friends w/o my former social lubricant Mr Jim Beam but I laugh @ myself coz now have more friends..real friends i might add who actually care about me & call me on my ****! nobody did that when i was drinking; & if I'm not seen/heard from in a few days,i'll get a call asking HOW am i doing(giving a fine,ok etc) won't work. Thank you Lord for bringing me to AA!

My addiction told me that this time next year I'll be able to drink again, without binge drinking. Ha! It's been telling me that for the past 20 years. It's safe to say it's full of malarky.

But I laughed at it and I squashed it like the bug that it is.

This is so true. I am going to write it out and put it somewhere in my apartment.

My AV told me a host of bs last night. Among the most ridiculous:

*having a few craft beers isn't drinking, it's TASTING.
*you only have alcoholic TENDENCIES. You, CNH, are only an alcoholic when you binge. You can have two.
*just because you want a buzz from alcohol doesn't make you an alcoholic. I actually don't know about this one and am going to do some research. Maybe some people can "catch a buzz" and not be alcoholics?

AV whispered to me that, since I'm on day 3, I can have a drink tonight to reward myself. Now he's yelling quite petulantly and it's getting up to a roar. I'm telling him he is not going to win and he's not. Not today. Tomorrow I'll deal with tomorrow.

Today it said since you did such a good job getting sales at work you should take it easy and relax, just skip your meeting tonight. Not sure if it won out yet. Still pondering the thought.
