This thread is so much fun! I tend not to be very good at coming up with screen names. My mind just blanks.
So I decided to think of something that makes me smile. I grew up in Rochester, NY where there is a lilac festival every year. I love the scent of the lilacs and they are beautiful. Got married on July 20, thus the 0721 (and just for the record, we were married at a botanic park...flowers make me happy)

I like Zen and Cats
My forum member name is easy to guess I think. The back story of my forum name comes from my first introduction to in-patient rehab. In rehab there was a lot of talk of spirituality, God and higher powers. As an atheist I considered what kind of spirituality I might practice. So I chose Zen Buddhism, particularity the philosophy of Zen with a meditation routine. I'm also a nature lover with an keen interest in big cats. My fave of those being the Bengal Tiger. And domestic cats are very cool too and manageable to coexist within close quarters.
This is such a fun thread to read. While I am creative in my career, obviously not in picking monikers....chef - yup...but quite blonde (and left handed to boot!!) So much for anonymity :-}

"when I wake in in the morning and I go outside I take a deep breath and get real high..."
My username came from a song.
Saw a man in the movies that didn't have a heart
How I wish I could give him mine
Then I wouldn't have to feel it breaking all apart
And this emptiness inside would suit me fine
It's times like these
I wish I were the tin man
You could hurt me all you wanted
I'd never even know
Well...I'd give anything just to be the tin man
And I wouldn't have a heart and I wouldn't need a soul

Mine's from the T.S. Eliot poem "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock."
The full line is
"I have measured out my life in coffee spoons"...reminds me to take things slowly, one day at a time, in small doses. Plus, coffee is my favorite drink now that booze is gone
