I used to behave like a proper lady, but with all the binge drinking and craziness, I was acting like a real jerk-no manners, totally out of control. So I am not drinking and trying to get back to acting like a "lady" again. Hence LadyNoBinge. Not the most creative name, but it represents my recovery plan! Thanks for the fun thread, Orbea!

When I first joined SR I tried loggin as Johnny Rehabb. Unfortunatly it was taken so I chose the next best one. It's also my stage name. And the answer is yes, two times each, plus a few trips to the ER. Were you able to figure mine out Sapling?

I took my username from a song by my favorite band, Def Leppard, partially. Then, in thinking about it, I thought, "Well, the desert is dry ... and now so am I (as in sober), and there is a song in my heart that wasn't there before." So my name has a double meaning.

In philosophy proofs that lead to absurd conclusions fall under logical paradoxes.
Figured that rather fitting of the decisions that lead into, and that I made and kept making while using/drinking.

The flip side of it also is believing in the unbelievable, and for awhile it seemed implausible to me to get sober.
" When philosophy proves what is plausible it is mundane; it is only when philosophy appears to prove what is incredible that things really get interesting."
I feel so far away from my love of learning, and I want that fully back. I was reading about them right before I joined trying to wrap my mind around the concept of the problem of the specious present WISDOM SUPREME | Specious Present and it hit me how perfect that was in me starting back on the right path!

My explanation is lame - especially following logicalparadox .

My English Mastiff is named Heaven. When I first signed on here I wanted to use her name. (Quite a few people use their pets names.) There was already a Heaven - so I changed the spelling. Like I said, lame.

Mine's a silly one as I joined yesterday wanting to take some E after being sober for 5 months...Maybe I'll change it but it's a useful reminder for me that I can't do drugs either, ever.

Hey, Macknacat, did you know that Noah, in the bible, was also an alkie?

I'm imperfect. I love my cats, so I spelled it with a purr in it

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

Boleo guessed my name, clever little dog.

CaiHong means rainbow in Mandarin. Over ten years ago, the only foreigner in a small town teaching senior high school students, I asked them to give me a Chinese name, they came up with Rainbow because of my coloring, blonde, blue eyes and pink cheeks .

Fade to grey

It is recorded in the Bible that Noah got drunk once. There is no record or any suggestion whatsoever that this was a habit.

My original username was my first name with some numbers behind it, but I changed it to a name and a flower I like.

What a cool thread...You always try and picture someone from their name and what they type...How they look and think...Put a face and body to it. Age even. Just a good way to get to know each other a little better. We're all just akies and druggies trying to help each other get better and stay better...Good stuff.

And no Orbea....I don't picture you as a fat mom on a racing bike. Stay sober all.
