Good afternoon! How's everyone doing? Day 11 for me today. My second sober weekend is approaching...and I'm attempting to somewhat plan ahead so I'm not left idle. The temptation to drink is still there...fighting it still...ugh.
Physically, tho, I feel great!!!! Couldn't be better.

Great job Lindsay,
Every week seems to get better, I have to make sure I have plenty of things to do at night and on weekends. I made myself a To-Do list, and I try to keep adding things and also recording when I complete things. This has really helped me stay busy. Best wishes Lynx

Rainy weather here, again. I'm in a weird mood. Last night I came home to an envelope of legal paperwork (my court date for a DUI is late this month) and then I found out from my sponser that I was gossiped about at my former-home group. She thought it was funny. I was NOT amused.
I'm listening to the Gin Blossoms on my iPod because there is no one in the office. It's that kind of morning.
Day Seventeen.

Congrats to everyone for staying strong! I know I've had a rough couple of days...I've felt like giving up...but all I need to do is remind myself what exactly "giving up" entails. NOTHING POSITIVE.
Day 12. I've been working out twice daily, getting an hour+ of cardio every day, as well as starting back with the weight lifting. I find that starting and ending my day breaking a sweat is very, very therapeutic. It helps remind me how important my health is...and makes me feel amazing.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day...here's to a sober, productive weekend...

Good morning,
Day 16, looking forward to another sober weekend. They actually feel like weekends without the awful hangover, anxiety and eating the day away...It's nice going back to work on Monday rested and having accomplished more than feeling like crap all weekend.

Day 28 here. Actually played with fire last night and went to a party a couple good friends of mine were throwing for another one of our friends. I had no intentions on drinking and was sort of nervous at first more on being social (alcohol used to help me with that). However, I found myself very talkative and am glad I can actually remember conversations. Plus the desire to drink was pretty much non-existent actually it was non-existent. I dont plan on playing with fire often, but I enjoy being around this group of friends and they never were seen as drinking friends to me. Now if it was my drinking friends throwing the party, I probably would not have went.
Anyways, hope everyone from this class is doing well! Keep it up!
