Ha, the blue laws saved me. After all the complaining I did about them as a drinker!! "D@mn puritan northeast, wtf is it with CT and MA?!"

I know they don't make any sense for the normals, but they just officially saved this alkie butt.

Thanks Vinter That was really hard. Man. I'm a little shaken up. I'd been doing so well the last few days with being happy that I was going through this sober, and tonight, bam, I would've given my right eyeball for a bottle of vodka. I seriously contemplated that driving to the bar thing. It was close.

Rusty, I get ya.

I totally understand needing to use a phone for short times etc. I go to the gym almost every day. I go when it isn't really busy but last week..two days in a row..ladies on the cell phone. Now, I can go for a short conversation or even a long one if you keep it down but he**, there is no reason to be on the phone while you are jogging or on the elliptical..for 45 minutes. There are TV's on each machine and headphones. The volume can be turned up fairly high too...if I can hear you talking on your cell phone over the TV, you need to go somewhere else to talk on that *(*(*&&&*((&& thing.

Whine-O-Rama here tonite!

Welcome Vinter, Latte, and Harry!

SS..we all have had our "dark nights of the soul"...I have had two in the last

two plus years..didn't think I would!

I was on my way to the store to shop for food and was discouraged...

when I realized I was thinking..there are bottles there..it would be so easy

to hide one...

And I shop there twice a week or more, and have never thought about it.

But it passed. The bad feeling passed. I had to let go..and put myself and

my sobriety first above everything ...I dragged my feet and bought the

food, came home, cried, shared here, did my Tenth and Eleventh Step,

and went to bed. Told sponsor, of course.

I am so proud of you. Things will work out.

Hugs, SS

Bam...

Okay..I've never wrapped my arms around a

:ghug3: hot, steaming, stinky, goopy, bacteria-filled lump of humanity

But hope you feel it anyway!

Love,

Sher

I feel like such crap most mornings, that's really when I find it the hardest. I find it nearly impossible to get motivated to do anything at all. I feel like I should go back to work but I don't know if I'm ready yet.

Thanks, whiners... There was someone walking around robbing people literally _right_ where I was going to be walking, idiotically, for alcohol. Shots fired somewhere else around here last night. It was not a good night to be out, alone, on foot, doing shots of vodka. (Is there ever a good night for that? lol)

Having this place, and you posters, here last night helped me more than I can say. I don't know why I couldn't pick up the phone.

I am trying to fit a week's vacation stuff into one small suitcase to that I can carry it on. I change planes and KNOW they would lose anything I check.

The Queen of Whines cannot GET everything into one small suitcase. Don't they KNOW who I am???

Maybe I should just take my broom, save money and buy everything there.
